Rams @ Seahawks -4 o/u 52 Jets @ Chargers -7 o/u 44.5 Broncos @ Colts -10 o/u 56 Vikings @ Packers -6.5 o/u 49 Thoughts anyone. I see the home teams winning all the games except maybe the Seahawks. I'm not sure if the colts will cover the spread though. I think the over is the better bet in every game except for maybe the Vikes v. Pack depending on the weather.
i'm going out on a limb...broncs over colts. i don't feel super strongly about it. but i just have a feeling.
I can see the Seahawks losing, Jets covering in a loss, Plummer throwing the game away, and the Vikings falling apart. There's not really a can't miss game but I'll still watch all of them anyway.
among my closest friends is a guy from Greeley...know it??..who is a huge Broncs fan. huge denver fan, in general..rockies, nuggs and broncs. but he loves on my houston teams some, so i return the favor. i've always admired the broncos...even when they were beating my oilers. elway is the greatest QB of all time...but that's probably a discussion for another thread! go Broncs...i'm rooting for them. (and the Pack).
Max, I would love to see that, too but it would have to be one of the biggest upsets in NFL playoff history, similar to the one in which the Jags beat my beloved Broncos at Mile High in 1996. What I don't understand is that I read that some of the Bronco players have been talking smack about how "soft" the Colts WRs are. Um, guys, we got embarrassed last year - no need to stir up a hornet's nest here.
Pack won both games against the Vikes but neither were blowouts. If the winds blow correctly the Vikings could pull it out.
Yeah if you make em mad they might hang 50 points on you. No way Harrison and Stokley and the rest are soft. When that offense is clicking get out of the way. Can the D stand the test is the question.
The key is to not let the offense get clicking by playing the receivers physically and disrupting their timing. The Pats have had a lot of success with this approach. I think that Harrison was held to something like 2 receptions for 19 yards against the Pats in the playoffs last year. Then again, the Broncos are not the Patriots.
no..but they have a pretty physical set of DB's. i could see it. listen, if the Texans can keep them from the endzone for a half, the Broncos can win this game!!!
For the last two years I have predicted the NFL playoffs perfectly until the conference championship games, where I've screwed them both up each time.. putting the two wrong teams in the superbowl.. So here goes.. Seattle over St. Louis New York over San Diego Indy over Denver Green Bay over Minnesota then.. New York over Pittsburgh Philly over Seattle Atlanta over Green Bay Indy over New England then.. Indy over New York Atlanta over Philly then.. Indy over Atlanta
Rams @ Seahawks -4 o/u 52 Jets @ Chargers -7 o/u 44.5 Broncos @ Colts -10 o/u 56 Vikings @ Packers -6.5 o/u 49 ===================== WEIRD FACT: The Texans lost 7 games to all of these 8 teams. The only other losses were to Cleveland and Detroit (not playoff teams). I am HAPPY for our 7-9 record... GO TEXANS!
Spent 3 years there for college. It's an, um, interesting town. Once you get used to the smell. Ugh, do you have to bring that up? Agreed 100%.
that's soooo funny!!!! all his friends from colorado told me not to take any ribbing from him about houston because at least houston didn't smell like Greeley!!!! there's a meat-packing plant or something there??? he's a tremendous person, though...makes colorado look very good!
Rams, Chargers, Colts, Packers Packers/Vikings and Rams/Seahawks will be the most exciting. The rest will be yaaaaaaaawwwwwwwnnnnn.
Well I'm going out on a limb and saying the Packers lose. They haven't been the same at home since Atlanta won a playoff game there and everyone talks about Farve but he has gone out with some absolute stinkers the last few years.
Favre is the one player in the NFL I will NEVER bet against though. He can lose a game that should be an easy victory, but he can also win the unthinkable one.
