He's talking about Stevie's comments last night after they beat seattle. I heard the interview and couldn't believe he said that. It must have just slipped out cause he was interviewed right after the game. He said "we've been hearing that we're the worst team since sliced bread." :D I love Steve but that sounded pretty idiotic.

    T-Mac delayed till next hour

For those not able to listen...

Tracy said that after the talk with JVG, the system was adapted to fit McGrady better.

"Yao is a finesse player like Rik Smits" He's still adapting to the system, will one day dominate.

TMac is saying Yao is inconsistent. He doesn't bring the fire night in and night out. The guy should have said Yao needs to get his hook shot back.

Here are some of Tmac's comments from the interview:

    - Spent the early part of the season just trying to adjust to each other and learn JVG's style of play

    - He thinks that JVG has adjusted his system to fit him, rather than the other way around

    - He and Yao are on the same page now. He was too passive early in the season and deferred to Yao too much. By being more aggressive it is making both he and Yao better

    - Right now he doesn't think Yao knows how dominate he can be, but once he figures it out he'll be more imposing. Yao is still adjusting to the NBA style of play.

    - Talked about his plan to donate money to the Tsunami relief effort

    - Working his butt off and doing everything possible to get to the next level of becoming a champion. Getting to the first round of the playoffs is not enough for him.

He's correct, Yao doesn't bring his A-game everynight like Duncan, KG, Lebron, and even Amare. He needs to get it in his head that this team will go nowhere until he starts dominating on a consistent basis.

At least he was being aggresive by shooting.

    :(

"Yao has it in him to be dominate, Ive seen it in him, but just not every night. It usually takes someone to dunk on him to make him get angry and dominate." :(

"At first I was sitting back and waiting for Yao to do his thing, now I realize I need to be myself and make Yao better"

"I am working hard to be a championship contender, letting coach coach me."

BTW, Rome has THE BEST interviews :D

His shooting percentage sometimes leaves a lot to be desired, but the guy's scored 20+ points in something like 11 straight games. That's pretty consistent IMO.
