What is Eddie Griffin doing for them these days? He had a glorious start for them early but we have not heard much from him since.

Has anyone seen him play lately? I see his stats are doing accross the board but that does not really say much.

He's been up and down the whole season, but is definitely in a downcycle since his huge Dec 8 game. Not trying to be pessimistic, but Baker had a better nice start in Boston before dying off again.

The blocks per game is descent but every else suck. He is shooting .333 from the field and .251 from 3-point land in that stretch.

They got blown out by the Bobcats last night. Sprewell and Cassell, judging by their drop in production, have aged ten years in one off-season. I have never seen a team that has arguably improved its roster fall off like this in a single season. I guess it's age; those forfeited picks must be taking their toll.

yeah they're struggling and also the sonics are returning to mediocrity. BOth are still good teams..but not one of the top teams.

I don't know what's wrong with the Timberwolves, but if by some chance Flip Saunders is blamed and fired because of this terrible season, the Rockets need to make a strong push for him.

I would love to get Flip. His offensive schemes are very detailed and creative. If there's anybody that can utilize Yao and T-Mac in a sweet looking offense, it's Flip. And he's more willing to go to zone defenses that I think would be beneficial to Yao (not suggesting that we rely on the zones too much like some of Nellie's teams in the past, but a change of pace is always good).

If we can get Flip, I will fly JVG tonight if I were CD.

Time to revisit this topic again.

This team amazes me. Other than getting a year older, it pretty much is the SAME team that had the best record in the Western Conference last year with the added bonus of a healthy Wally Z! And now they are "clinging" onto the 8th seed in the West?

Starters: Cassell, Sprewell, Wally, KG, Kandi
Bench: Hudson, Hassell, Hoiberg, Griffin, Johnson, Madsen, Carter

They have a stacked team. Good starting unit and a solid bench unit. I think Flip is a pretty good coach.

But man, the chemistry on this team is absolutely TERRIBLE! From what I can see, the "intensity" that Cassell and Sprewell brought to the team last year is gone. And that is effecting everything, especially the defense.

Wally actually is having a pretty good year but I feel his Ego is causing a problem. I get the feeling Flip wants to start Hassell at SF to add more defensive hustle to the team but Wally's Ego wont accept a Bench role which in reality is probably where he should be in terms of being a 6th man.

As good as Wally has been playing, they probably are going to have to move him for the betterment of the team. I wouldnt give him away though. I think he still has value. The team is kinda old so they are going to need to get some young parts in return.

And I have to think that that Wolves are probably VERY willing to move Sprewell and Cassell right now. I dont see any way Sprewell returns next year when his contract runs out at the end of this season. I think Cassell is still important to the team in terms of outside scoring though.

I havent seen a quality team like the Wolves take such a nosedive like this.
It will be interesting to see if they make any trades to improve chemistry and save the season. I am not sure they will be able to turn this team around this year if they dont.

Wally has offered his spot back to Hassell, though that may have only been for face. No doubt about it, Wally and his negative D are a factor in the slip. Spree and Sam mailing it in get nods. You haven't mentioned it, but Hudson has all but pulled a Moochie Norris. Kandi doing his usual number shouldn't be left out.

Word has it the Wolves aren't moving Wally. Taylor has all but signed the execution orders for Sprewell and Sammy, and knows that trading Wally would empty the cupboard. I don't see him moving unless they get a nice multiplayer package back. Interest in Lattrell has been chilly, since whoever takes him will have to deal with his attitude even if they are just going to let him walk for cap reasons.

The Wolves probably aren't going to contend this year. Papers and ESPN are saying that Kidd isn't going there (despite the interest) since the Nets don't need the swingmen that would come back in return. A team of VC, RJ, and World? A return to the Swamp for ET?

Best bet for them is a fast turnaround in the offseason. Moving Wally for a package of picks and young blood would be smart, but tough to pull off.

I just take heart in knowing that Spree is playing himself out of the MLE right now. Hope he's stocking up on those groceries.

The only player I want from the Wolves team is, sadly, Eddie Griffin. Imagining him playing side-by-side with Yao? Give the man his full MLE!

Um, from what I've hear and seen, EG isn't exactly winning over fans in Minnesota these days. Last night is a good example. 3 points, 3 boards, nothing else in 15 minutes. And he shot 2 threes. He started out the season well, but has declined. He still has some good games, but...

I was watching the fantasy recap show on NBA TV last night (the host is an enormous T-Wolve/KG fan) and they were discussing this. Had a guy call in and basically said that they had to get him playing more inside and stop jacking 3's...sound familiar??

Deuce hit it right on the head when he said they have no chemistry. Spree and Cassell are unhappy (which normally leads to lack of effort) , Wally plays no defense and Hudson wants out. Too much drama is surrounding that team. Kandi is horrible, he offers nothing at either the offensive or defensive end. Unless they make a ove I think they are in for big trouble because Garnett is going to either wear down or go crazy eventually. I can see it coming

Check out his game-by-game stats - they're ridiculously bipolar.

12 double digit games, 19 single digit games, 3 games with 20 or more, 7 games with 3 points or less. And he's been getting fairly steady minutes (over 15 minutes per game most nights).

This would be driving us mad if he were doing this on our squad.

You mean a guy who hangs out by the 3 point line, shoots in the mid 30s, is an average man defender and rebounder (though a decent help defender)?

    Full MLE?

No thanks. If you wanted Brian Cardinal he was available last summer, and at least he plays hard.

Bipolar but a distinctly downward trend as his 3 pointer stopped falling. He's only had 2 of those double digit games in the past 30 days.
