The title Indian Rapper reminds me of the Rappin' Duke song from the 80s. John Wayne, now he could rap. Anyone remeber it? Da ha da ha, da ha ha ha ha ha
p*****s. Only way to describe them: p*****s. Man, life is hard in the 'burbs. These guys must have huge cases of schlong envy. I love the story about the guys picking on the the guy who actually manages to get a girl. You're too weak to pick up your own girl, so you and your friends try to to gang up on one guy to make him look bad? Nice life you'e living there buddy. Idiots.
Man I graduated from JV in '97, I remember these cats... I didnt even know they called themselves that, if so then thats weak. As many times as I played Basketball in Jersey Village, I never had a problem with them. Granted, some of them could ball a little. But it was mainly because it was unexpected. They would come to the court with turbin's and **** on their heads. No disrespect but that was pretty funny to us, unexpectingly. Again no disrespect, but when you play ball against them no one wanted to guard them cause they smelled like onions. I can only imagine the only reason they could get cocky enough to fight, is cause they ran together in numbers.... But like I said a few of them did have a little game...
A little game? Man the dude sitting on the ground with his finger up (Tex), the skinny Indian dude squatting with blue shirt (Snoop), the dude standing 5th from the left (Charandeep) and the dude on the far right (Mandeep) have more than a little game. They don't look like ballers but they can play. I guess they do surprise some people based on their looks but you would be surprised how many Indians can play ball.
Some of them look genuinely happy to have won and seem to be having fun. Some seem a little too concerned with looking "hard," as if cracking a smile would destroy their street cred. Anyway, I do wonder what clubs people are running in if there are many-on-one beatdowns occurring on a routine basis, or where "bumping into someone" is considered a provocation worthy of getting attacked... Is Kaboom open for business again? Bayou Mama's? Where the hell does this crap occur?
Charandeep used to come to UT and play against overseas players all the time. Tex played 4 years in college. They can hang with ANYONE on this Earth in basketball, that's a promise.
Not surprised at all like I said, they had a little game. Just like them, I know and played with Gabe Mouneke (sp?), Corey Johnson, Jermaine (forgot his last name). When I think of game growing up back in the day these are the cats that would come to my back yard a play ball with us. Yes, they could play, but I could play too. Not impressed by their game, what impressed me is their background with their game. Like I said coming to the court you wouldnt expect them to be able to ball, but they did. By time you realized they werent the scrubs they looked like people were down 6-7 points in a game to 15.
Tex can hoop. I recognize a couple of the others and never thought much of their games at all. Tex was pretty quick and could shoot.
This guy is good. Never heard of him but he does have talent. I wouldn't buy his CD but I am not in his target audience. But the guy is good.
Charandeep and Tex didn't go to JV. They're the best 2 players on the OCP, they're talent is exceptional.
Man, I am listening to his site right now. This stuff is weak. Fellas I know I sound like a hater right now, but being a brotha this stuff is really not impressing me. If the picture of their B-ball team was a group black dudes, or a group of white dudes with a couple black dudes it wouldnt look uncommon. If you take this cd to the real hood, we would laugh at the rhymes. Its just so uncommon to see #1 an Indian Rapper, #2 an all Indian B-Ball team, w/ a couple guys that can hoop. However I will give props to the thought of being a Indian Rapper, marketed right he could make a little money and disappear in a couple years. To the thread starter, tell your cousin good luck. I truley hope he makes some money doing this...
