I want to root for OU to show my Big XII loyalty and so that we can say our only loss was to the national champions But two championships in 4 years for OU will hurt our recruiting even more. Guys like AD have already defected to OU, who else could we lose when all Stoops has to tell an 18-year old is "look at these two rings. What can Mack Brown do for you?"

*sigh* I know exactly why you're rooting for OU. All my UT friends are doing the same thing. The reason is if OU wins tonight, UT's ranking will improve, possibly to #3. I understand, though. I wasn't happy at all rooting for UT on Saturday, but I did. The funny thing was (mainly b/c I didn't care that much) we watched it Texadelphia-a huge UT fan-based place. Every time UT got a first down, or a FG, or a TD, I would yell "Flavor Flav!!" as obnoxiously as I could. I was trying to make it UT's new rallying cry. I actually got a few of y'all to do it, too.
Really? I don't think UT has any chance of getting to #3, with Auburn winning last night. I guess there is a chance they could move ahead of USC in the final polls, since both will have one loss to OU. I doubt it would happen in the human polls though unless OU absolutely crushes them.
Typically, UT would finish ahead b/c both teams had one loss, but UT finished with a win, whereas USC would finish with a loss. Might sound unfair, but I would bank that USC finishes 4th if they lose to OU. Ironically, if USC wins, I'd bank that OU finishes 3rd with UT at 4th, due to them beating UT this year. Either way, UT will look better if OU wins tonight.
