I think the biggest difference lately for the team has been the play of Sura.

He has pushed the ball. Attacked the lane, rebounded and hit some open looks.

When all that is going on this team really puts pressure on the other team's defense.

Plus he is scrappy on defense. How many steals did he have against Utah, seems like 4-5.

I think if we had started the season with him at point we would have 2-3 more wins by now.

The team looks so much better in transition with him.

No wonder Van Gundy has harped on rebounding. This team can run, the break looks smart with TMac, Sura, Barry and Wesley running.

The only guy that still has that dreaded low BB IQ to me is MoTaylor. Everyone else seems to make good decisions with the ball.

I like the offseason moves of Sura and Motumbo alot. They have proved out. I don't think there is a place for Ward anymore. I even like having Barrett on the bench. But Ward has the guaranteed contract.

Go Sura, you are becoming a fan favorite.

Sura's best asset: He gives 110% effort from tip to final buzzer

We were up by 15 or so late in the 4th quarter last night and Sura was down in the lane fighting Utah's bigs for an offensive rebound. Gotta love that.

The energy of Sura and Wesley (to a lesser extent, Barry) will rub off on their teamates.

yup. I think our guards, Sura, Barry, and Wesley, are good fits for Tmac and Yao. And they play well together. I like seeing Sura, Barry, Wesley, and Tmac playing tenacious defense on the perimeter. That's what they're supposed to do but it's still great to see good team defense. :) THE BEST PART is watching people go past their man and get stuffed by DIKEMBE!!! lol

Sura always tries hard and I think he's still recovering from his injury.

Tmac is definitely feeling better. Bill said that in November..he was just getting assimilated to our team...20 points per game. Then in December, he averaged 28 ppg, 7 rebounds 6 assists or something. Back to the old Tmac. He's really awesome.

Yao is going to get better.

Our new shooting guards Barry and Wesley are playing well and making shots. And Howard and Padgett and Mo aren't doing bad either. Basically the entire team is playing well..which means we're playing as a team. But we've been playing the mediocre teams. It'd be nice if we can beat the Suns.

I right there with you, I just wish the game was sooner. I hope the Roxs put out a good performance.

Back on topic, Sura just plays so hard! I love that about him.

I was one of those that thought he was too injury prone due to his style of play.Bobby seems like he's playing under control though and putting it all together. No,he's not even 100%,but is doing a great job.I guess playing with multiple players that demand doubles helps.Good job CD!.

He even threw one down last night. :D Wasn't he in the dunk contest one year?

How about that steal off the Harpring inbound pass he took all the way for a layup. That was sweet! :D

I love players that hustle like he does, yet in control. He is totally team oriented, he is looking to pass first, and only takes what he is given. He makes the game faster, but doesn't "force" the action. A study in contrasts. I really like his play. The Rockets seem to have found a combination that works.

It seems to me that the catalyst is Sura. I believe every good game he has has has been a W.

Has he had a good game in an L?

It's nice to have a guy like him who is under the radar. Just pesky as all get out.

He is the kind of player who would kill the Rockets in the past and you would think, why don't we have someone like him.

Man he ties the shoes and goes out there and busts it on the court. He doesn't do the token dive for the ball, it is who he is.

    Keep it up, Sura.

It's a shame he got hurt early in the season. Had we had him at 100% all year, we probably wouldn't have gotten out to even near as slow a start as we did. Oh well, every team deals with injuries. Barry, Sura and Wesley are working really well together in the back court, and this team is finally starting to gel. I hope they keep it up when the competition gets more stiff.

Definite props to Sura. All he needs is a little more time to get back to 100% health and this team is going to sky rocket into the playoffs.

    LOL :D

I still haven't looked for forums. But it's funny some NO fans didn't want Boki or JJ and wanted to keep Wesley their favorite player on the team..and GS fans are hating Derek Fisher.

I like Sura too! He always hustles. Our rebounding stabilized once he joined the team this season. Our PG play began to stabilize once he joined the team.

I also hope he continues to stay agressive on offense. I like it when he looks for his own shot along with looking to set up others.

I'm really impressed he's been able to play this well coming RIGHT off of back surgery. Every time he hits the floor it makes me worry...

One thing Sura can improve is to cut down unnecessary fouls. He plays aggressively, but maybe a little bit too much.
