Wash your hands a lot during the cold season. That is the #1 thing you can do to keep from getting a cold.

They had a doctor on TV the other day and they asked him why Doctors never seem to get sick when they see all their patients. He said because he washes his hands before and after every patient, every trip to the bathroom, before he eats, and after he sits at any desk.

I used to be that way, my wife also.

Two young children with one in day school, limited sleep, demanding job, inconsistent time in the gym .... did me in. I catch everything now.

Yeah, but the Pediatricians aren't always so lucky. My kids' doc is out...guess she didn't duck quick enough from those random sneezes and coughs.

Oh hell, I hope I don't have what you guys are talking about.

I've had a cough for about 3 days and I'm so ready for it to end. Laboring just to breathe. And it's difficult to clear my ears. All sortsa congested.

But my snot is still clear, so I'm hoping what I have is just a little New Year's something-something and not a case of the 6-week cough. I can't take this **** for another 5 weeks.

    I guess it has happened.

I am getting sick. I think it's from being out in the wind Thursday afternoon.

It was 4:30, my lunch time, and we ended up walking to Burger King near Travis and Capitol. The wind was blowing so damn hard, and I had nothing to cover my head, and I had a light jacket on.

And now, inside my nose, it feels like its on fire. I took some Dayquill so it might help and do something. I bought some tylenol sinus, and the pressure inside my nose has stopped, except my nose keeps running, and I have to chase it all the time. My nose keeps on dripping. I hope this is the farthest this cold goes.

    Thank you.
