It does all make sense if true. I posted this a few days ago. I thought it was a big coincidence that David Aldridge reported that the Cavs were trying to get us to trade for Snow but didn't say we declined or not, plus we made a trade to get a small, quick, scoring SG (ie: like Snow/AI backcourt). I could see the Warriors taking Taylor because his contracts ends just in time to go after Yao like they are saying they want to do. I've heard alot of good things about Luke Jackson and he would be the young potential player everyone here has been clamoring for. Dunleavy is a nice player as well. Maybe it will be a 3-team deal. Who knows. I was against Snow a while back, but I actually think he would be a decent option. He is not a good 3pt shooter but he knows this and gets around this successfully. The only thing, again if all is true, we trade a PF and don't get a solution at PF in return at all unless Diop is thrown in from Cleveland and I'm not sure he would even do even as a backup.
hmmm starting to become a member of the "what the **** is our organization doing" bandwagon :\ if true...
I wont believe until someone I trust says that its true....and somehow I dont trust what anyone posts on the ESPN message boards. It says they heard it on ESPN radio...arent all ESPN sport updates syndicated and should be the same? I didnt hear anything on the radio.. I am listening to ESPN radio on their site now...nothing so far
errrrrrr.... too much rockets drama! i like the dunleavy trade of that is true. kinda wanna keep sura around, they can keep snow, i dont want him.
Espn Message boards? Um, the same ESPN message board that claimed that the Rox were going to land Kidd for Howard, Mo, Picks and Change earlier this week. How come nobody on this board has heard the same report. Just some guys getting drunk on New Years and hitting a computer terminal. BTW: I noticed a thread by Charvo proposing a Yao+Mo for Odom+Mihm+Butler deal. LOL. That dude just doesn't quit.
i've (and many others) have said it before and i'll say it again, all these changes wouldn't have been neccessary if we would have just signed Damon Jones. Hindsight is 20/20 but c'mon!
Don't mean to sound rude but everything you posted is BS without a legit source. And that means something better than "everyone on the ESPN boards heard it on the radio."
Good Lord I hope this is not true. I like Sura, a LOT. The guy came back 2 weeks early from BACK SURGERY and has been nothing but a positive for this team. And Padgett, all he does is give 100% whenever he is called upon. NO NO NO NO to this deal!!
I gotta admit that I don't know how trades actually get done, but having a trade announced at 2:30 in the morning on New Year's doesn't sound right. I don't believe it and won't until I see it on the front page.
i really hope this is true, because if not you're going to get flamed right off of this board rich. not saying you are just spouting off bs, but it's pretty common knowledge around here that posting rumors from espn's message boards is really frowned upon.
This is the ONLY way I could get everything to work out as posted. A 3 team deal: Houston trades: Andre Barrett (No games yet played in 2004/05) PF Maurice Taylor (7.9 ppg, 4.6 rpg, 1.6 apg in 24.9 minutes) SG Bob Sura (7.7 ppg, 5.7 rpg, 4.4 apg in 32.8 minutes) Houston receives: PG Eric Snow (3.7 ppg, 1.6 rpg, 3.2 apg in 20.4 minutes) SF Luke Jackson (3.0 ppg, 0.6 rpg, 0.3 apg in 4.4 minutes) C DeSagana Diop (1.0 ppg, 2.8 rpg, 0.4 apg in 11.5 minutes) SF Mike Dunleavy (11.3 ppg, 4.8 rpg, 2.7 apg in 30.6 minutes) -------------------------------------------------------------------- Cleveland trades: PG Eric Snow (3.7 ppg, 1.6 rpg, 3.2 apg in 20.4 minutes) SF Luke Jackson (3.0 ppg, 0.6 rpg, 0.3 apg in 4.4 minutes) C DeSagana Diop (1.0 ppg, 2.8 rpg, 0.4 apg in 11.5 minutes) Cleveland receives: Andre Barrett (No games yet played in 2004/05) SG Bob Sura (7.7 ppg, 5.7 rpg, 4.4 apg in 32.8 minutes) PF Clifford Robinson (8.9 ppg, 2.5 rpg, 1.7 apg in 25.6 minutes) --------------------------------------------------------------------- Golden State trades: SF Mike Dunleavy (11.3 ppg, 4.8 rpg, 2.7 apg in 30.6 minutes) PF Clifford Robinson (8.9 ppg, 2.5 rpg, 1.7 apg in 25.6 minutes) Golden State receives: PF Maurice Taylor (7.9 ppg, 4.6 rpg, 1.6 apg in 24.9 minutes) ------------------------------------------------------------------------- TRADE ACCEPTED with one or more picks from Houston being sent out. Realgm said Barrett couldn't be traded till Jan. 28th though.
Screw that. I'd rather flame rich right off this board than take on Snow's useless game and lousy contract. I'm calling BS anyway, because nobody has actually heard any of the espn radio reports except for the rumor starters and known trollers.
