Okay, a week ago we had all these snow lovers going on and on about how great it was to be cold and to get snow (which I have to admit since snow is so rare for Houston that I can't blame them for being excited but cold weather on the other hand...).

Well now it is a week later, and here in middle TN, we are looking at 60+ degrees and I think in Houston, it may be in the 70s.

So, just to make sure that this board is nondiscrimantory (sp?) when it comes to weather, how about showing some love for the warmth? Huh, how about it? Anyone else with me on how great it is to have 60 or above temps in late December?

My daughers and I were outside playing basketball a few times this week and we were getting bit by mosquitos, thats the only thing that sucks about it.

i could beat your daughters at basketball.

They can't handle me. Those mosquitos can't handle me.

And I like it hot. Somewhere around the 80s at night. That's perfect.

Personal forecast: high in the 40's, lots of haze.

Warm weather during the holidays sucks. We get more than enough of it the rest of the year. :(

I don't understand this. I am assuming you are out of school, Rokkit, and have a full-time job. This would also mean that during the holidays, you will be off from work for maybe a week or even 2 weeks. Now, with all that time off, would you rather go outside when it is in the 70s when you would normally be inside working (unless you have an outside job) or be outside when it is in the 30s or even colder?

Actually, I went back to school, though I do have a full-time job.

Still, it's not about work for me - more about the season and the time of year. We get rather stifling heat for a majority of the year. I want it to feel like winter, like Christmas/New Year's time....like we actually have a change in the year.

Comfort doesn't quite mean the same to me...in Houston unfortunately you tend to think about it differently.

I'm loving this weather. I frigging hate cold weather. That's why I live in Houston.
