Let's all breath deeply and put this whole situation in life-perspective. If this deepening soap opera we call the Houston Rockets has become a source of personal stress, unhappiness, discouragement, disappointment, or anxiety you should change the mental channel. Find something else to do, to think about, or some other sports team or event to follow for awhile.

The Rocket's are a man-made mess. The men who have made the mess are all rich. No matter what happens, THEY WILL ALL STILL BE RICH. If you find agonizing over the mess fun, then go for it. However, if this whole situation is making you sick, focus on something else for while. This one is going to take awhile for the RICH PEOPLE to fix. I plan to take my advice. Remember we could all be in Asia or Iraq where we would have REAL problems. :)

I'm with solid. My dad used to say the same thing to me as a kid... "No matter how the Rockets do, they still make money and you don't - get your work done". Of course I'd still stay awake at night under the blankets listening to the late games with Gene Peterson broadcasting the pbp. :)

I did the same thing (I love Gene Peterson and his sidekick) and I love your signature. Funny and true.

Same here for me (similar but not exact).

This goes to tell us once again that love (for anything) is arguably the most powerful force in the whole world.

Too true, too true. We are blessed when our biggest problems is JVG being the rox head coach.

I just had to bump this thread up.

It's not the rockets that's stressing me out today. It's many of the posters here.

We just beat the second best team in the east, and there are still so much negativity. People are blaming JVG and CD for the earth quake in asia. Deep breath........inhale.....exhale.....

Again, thank you for this thread.

Can't we please not ruin this thread. If you want to bash anyone, there are about 14 threads out there.

Damn, what's with all this love fest...Give me a break...The Rockets are playing below average and there is a lot of frustration as we should be doing a hell of a lot better, but also, since the Majic is doing well, it hurts that much more...

    btw, Solid, good post...

    why you little....

We were up by 10 when lebron got hurt. Tmac completelyt shut Lebron down.

I didn't want to reply to the poster above you....maybe negativity will go away if you ignore it.

I'm glad to see a lot of people are stressed about the Rockets...it means this city (and Rockets fans in particular) still care a lot about this team. Now if we could just get everyone stressed out about the UH athletics program, things would be all good.

I pretty much live paycheck to paycheck, but I absolutley can't stand the way more and more people are becoming so bitter towards the rich these days. I can understand being angered by/jealous of the nepots, but they are not all nepots and the ones that aren't deserve your respect for achieving their wealth.

I recommend anyone that harbors such feelings read "Atlas Shrugged" by Ayn Rand. Maybe it will enlighten you to what quality of life you would be leading if suddenly the rich which you choose to demonize suddenly disappeared from the earth tomorrow.

    Eat the rich!!;)

Yeah, because I'm not rich, I'm clearly not as talented or work as hard as poor JJ. At basketball, maybe.

I love the dude, and I wish he was still a Rocket, but it's not like the guy's going to lose his mortgage. That's why he has the PRIVILEGE of making a fuss like this.

And by the way, people in America practically worship the rich.
