610 just had Wesley on air. He sounds like he has a good head on his shoulders. Maybe he can work hard to fit in and then become a leader on this team. Let's all hope so!

Let's hope it is good because it is certainly big enough. And those ears you think he could fly with those things. Seriously, if he stops being a blackhole and passes a little he might not be too bad...

He has always been a primary scoring option for his team (#2 or #3), average ~11 attempts & ~4 assists a game, sharing both SG & PG duties. I won't call 11 shots a game a "blackhole" for a guy handles ball that much.

You think he has ears... look at Scott Padgett! Between the two of them we should probably just drop back in a zone and no one should be able to even see past these sets of ears.

I'm hoping that wesley opens a clutchfans board account, then we can get a picture of old man rock and see what he thinks about it.
I love how people sit at home and have nothing but negative things to say about others from the safety of their computers.
It's also amusing that you are calling this guy a blackhole, I'm willing to wager you've never even really watched him play.

I keep hearing people comparing Wesley's and JJ's FG%. JJ has been taking wide open shots while Yao and T-Mac are doubled. I think Wesley's percentage will increase playing with two super stars. Atleast it should!

    Well, that's certainly the hope.

I really liked JJ last year and I'm sorry to see him go. That said, the team's current record is well below expectations, I'd say. When a team plays below expectations, trades are going to happen. We've been saying for quite a while now that no one on the team should be untouchable except you-know-who. Well, here we have it... the mix wasn't working so it's time to try again. We could sure use a guard who isn't injured and can shoot, so I guess desperate times call for desperate measures. Let's just see what happens and hope that our 4th pg starter isn't quite as bad as our 4th power forward.

Well I think we've been winning some games, because Mo and Jhoward have stepped it up a little more. They are both hitting shots, and they are both combining a double double at the powerforward position.

If the offense is run through Yao or Tmac as it should be, Barry and Wesley should be open every night. They have to find away to knock down open looks.

I remember Wesley for unfortunate reasons but the dude seems like a genuinely good guy just like JJ. I remember Wesley from his days in Charlotte where his best friend Bobby Phills was killed while they were racing each other after practice. That was really sad. I hope he can bring some fire to this team and help us get back to the playoffs.

And he made 5 of them, so what is your point? Those 11 shots equated to 15 points. That is a great ratio.

I completely forgot about that tragedy. I think the most positive thing about the acquisition is that Wesley knows how it feels to lose badly, and he sounds like he will do anything to make sure that he never feels it again. I think he will play with the fire he played with in his earlier years. My fingers are crossed.

I actually have watched Wesley play - since he is on my fantasy team. If we were giving up anyone but JJ, I would be loving this trade - as it stands now, I think it is fair

Wesley and JJ are the same age - 34

Wesley is capable of shooting lights out too (he played better with Davis and Miglore in the lineup) - also. what we lose in JJ's rebounds. we should get from Wesley's assists ~3-4 a game
