As far as trades go... I don't see us doing any more damage. Only one thing will salvage this season for me... Make the Playoffs Anything less will be unbearable. Its all on Yao and TMac. They are going to have to somehow will this team to a good record. We need to win at least 4 of the next 5 games. That is a must or I believe it is lottery time. Oh boy can't wait to have the last lottery slot.
We are not so bad as the record shows. Last year we creamed the Leastern conference, but that wouldn't count once the playoff started.
Well what's our schedule..we can stil lmake it. McGrady has to step up and score...Yao has to definitely be confidnet and be aggressive and start dominating..everyone else has to execute well and play defense and make open shots...we have to rebound of course. Go Rockets
One thing I did like alot about Van Gundy is I thought he had our players mentally ready for the playoffs. We played at a higher level against LA than we had all year. We should have won that series. Just get us in there and I think we will be a good match in at least the first series. The playoffs will make all this agony worth it. If we are in the lottery I will have no condifence in our drafting ability, this season will we disaster and we still will be saddled with no way to move PF during next summer. We must make the playoffs!
Since we lost to some bad teams- Charlotte, GS and Atlanta to name a few and got beat at the buzzer by Chicago with a lucky 3, That all means we are going to have to beat some good team to make the playoffs. looking at the schedule we need about 20-22 home wins and 12-13 road wins We better start playing real well cause we have some very difficult games ahead
The worst we should go is 3 out of 5 but then again we keep losing to crappy teams... does that mean anything??? @ Milwaukee @ Cleveland Milwaukee Utah Phoenix
My best guess (not a hope): We go 31-24 the rest of the way, fueled by a desperate surge in April, end up 44-38, but miss the playoffs. Pessimistic thought is that we get whacked by a nasty March schedule (go give it a look), Yao hits another fatigue wall, and we whimper out to a 40-42 finish with heads rolling. Evan
I have faith we'll make it and JVG will have the team bring it up a notch once they start. We'll be one of those teams no one wants to face.
