i dont know about this trade!!! i dont care about boki!! he is a nice guy but he didnt get a chance with the rockets... its good atleast he will get a chance somewhere else. as for JJ with wesley..... we got a shooter but lost the SF position...the rebounds... the only leadership that we had on the rockets!! this might get reall ugly!!!
is it for sure that there ewas a 1st round pick invovled? cuz hornets SUCK and if we can get their pick it will be really high...anyone know if it was unprotected or not?
No its True and you can ask anyone, and no its not love i admire him as a player. He showed leadership and the only leadership The Rockets had.
At the very beginning of Matt Jackson's radio show today at 6pm, he was discussing the Wesley trade and he said that this trade originally included more players, including Mo Taylor/P.J. Brown, etc. He said that the Hornets eventually decided that they could make a trade with us without taking on Mo's contract. Was I the only one who heard him say this?
Love this move....let me tell you why. I got to see a lot of Hornets games before they moved to NO. Things you will see from Wesley...his field goal percentage may not be great, but he is a very clutch jump shooter. He always seemed to make it when you needed him to do it the most, whether is was to stop the other teams run, or to win a game. The other thing I liked about him was the fact that dude came to play hard every night, and, whether on offense or defense, dude is a serious pest. As far as what other posters have said about getting more for JJ and Boki, let's put this in perspective....how much are you really going to get for a journeyman guard playing SF and a young SF who has not lived up to any of the potential he was supposed to have? It's nice to speculate what else the Rockets could have received, but I agree that an open roster spot can become a goldmine, whether it be a 2 for 1 in our favor or to lure a free agent. Granted, I'm not going to put my faith in CD, but past acquisitions have proven a good pick-up can be made. Not the earth shattering trade everyone hoped for, and not without risk, but I like it.

I don't know about that. I kind of doubt that would be made public as to avoid any uncomfortable situations with players that were talked about, but ended up not being traded. CD did address the talks with the Hornets, mentioning that he inquired about PJ, but obviously didn't mention anything about Mo being in the deal. In a nutshell he said they weren't interested in including PJ as part of this deal.
how CD got around it was by saying we asked about him but every gm is asking about him and rahim... and some other pf i forgot his name
Oh My God. I can't believe it when I got the news. The trade make my heart ach, and I'm sure the majority of Chinese Rox fans feels the same. We will miss JJ and Boki. A bad trade or good one, I don't know. Maybe a gamble again.
