He is a enjoying a really solid December despite the tough games they had so far on their schedule against some of the top notch teams in the NBA. December 2004 stats 23.4 PPG 7.7 APG 4.8 RPG 3.2 TOPG 2.17 SPG 87% FT% 45% FG% All of this while playing 38 minutes per game in this December. He is stepping it up like he did in his 2nd year as a Rocket - solid numbers accross the board. PS. This props is in line with ongoing the holiday spirit.
pgabriel Props should be given to he or she that is due. When I saw Stevie's December production I truly could not do anything but take my hat off for him. I love when players step up and carry their teams.
Why Marbury hates Francis so much? I mean, every time they play against each other, he torches Francis, every time! 21pts in the first half and it hasn't ended yet. It seems he is always focused and tries to prove something when they play together. It makes me happier though given the fact Francis always starts over him in All-star game, no matter it is in the east or west.
Marbury: 34 points, 7 assists, 2 rebounds, 2 steals, and 2 turnovers. Francis: 25 points, 7 reboudns, 5 assists, 4 turnovers, and a steal. I thought Jameer Nelson played much better than Francis did, initiating a 4th quarter comeback and finishing with 10 points, 2 assists, 0 turnovers in only 9 minutes. Marbury's team wins. I don't think there's any question about it. Francis is a better scorer (Marbury had it going tonight) and more athletic, but Marbury runs the point better and sets people up better. It'd be a lot of fun to see a Magic/Knicks playoff series.
No doubt but it will be tougher now since his faith will most likely be in the hands of the Eastern conference coaches for the "first time". Lebron and Iverson will be voted as starters (surefire favorites) for the Eastern conference. So that leaves 2 guard spots left for the Eastern conference coachs to choose from including (and not limited to) Francis, Wade, Marbury, Kidd, Pierce, Mobley, Richard Hamilton, Michael Redd and Gilbert Arenas. The respective team records of these players by the coaches voting deadline will obviously influence the final outcome backup guards for Denver 2004. For now, Wade and Francis are the favorites but watch out for Kidd and Pierce. PS. Being liked by the coaches plays a huge role too. Remember that. "Politics" will always find a way to figure out in the final outcome of the votes.
D. Wade is a lot better than Francis. But other than that, you could make the case for him being the 4th best guard in the East, well... maybe Pierce is better. But especially with Kidd struggling with injuries.
