``Houston is a good team with Yao and T-Mac and their role players,'' Maggette said. ``They should have a better record. They are searching for their chemistry and when they get it, they'll be a tough team to beat.''

Seems like he willing to play for Rockets!
Can we trade JJ and boki for this guy? what position will he play.

Well said Magette. He obviously is a rational and informed gent. He sees it and gets it. I hope more people arround here get it soon. I see so much promised and possibilities in this current setup. What they need is a little twicking and patience. They will turn it around .....and in fact they have started already.

He could fit in at SF but it's going to take a lot more than JJ and Boki to get him. The salaries of the 2 don't fit Maggette's contract either.

YEAH if this is legit i like the compliment lol. And I'd love to have Maggette :D. Wilcox Brand Jaric all sound good.

Of course keep Yao and Tmac...I'd like to keep Mutombo..and Sura, Barrett, and Barry are doing fine. JJ is our leader so I guess keep him too as a backup..too bad I'm not the GM but really I love all the Rockets..I was glad when Lue got traded though. Like when Mooch got traded, it kinda sucked but he sucked so it was good too. Anyways, we're gonna be good..role players need to be consistent..we need more chemistry..and yeah more time together..basically what Maggette said lol.

Well, if you got beat 7 times in a row with most of them being blown outs, and you are a part of all those games, Magette certainly has to think Rockets is a better team. Let's ask the Bobcats how good we are.

    Clippers coach Dunleavy:

"We struggled with their size all game," Dunleavy said. "Yao got too deep on us and they killed us on the boards. Our big guys just didn't board at all. We let them control us in that regard."

Maggette is a guy getting the max and leading his team in scoring. How are we supposed to get him for JJ and Boki?

You guys need to try and remember this isn't Playstation.

How did you get that he wants to play in Houston from that statement? He was just giving an opinion and compliment as an opponent.

    Exactly!

Actually he's making far less than the max at 6 years at $45 million. Course that makes him even harder to acquire because he's such a bargain. In fact after Redd signs a new deal this summer, Maggette will probably have the most team-friendly non-rookie contract in the league.

Corey Maggette is making $6,160,000 this year, far from max, even less than Tayler. But regardless, Rockets have nada to trade him.

I think he's making 6 years at 42 million. Utah tried to sign him, but the Clippers matched. Q Richardson got a 6 year 45 million dollar deal.

Damn, you guys are sad. It's a freaking standard post game fodder, how in the hell did you make a jump from that to Maggette wants to be a Rocket?

What are you saying about what others around here believe Fegwu? Maggette pretty much gave the team a backhanded compliment, he said the Rockets should have a better record. Isn't the belief around here that the Rockets are underachieving?

funny thing about the clippers. . .
remind me of the scottie pippen Blazers

Those blazers were filled with Complimentary Players
good SECOND stars on a team but no one to be THE MAN
    the clippers
are filled with some excellent ROLE players
maybe two COmplimentar ystars but no one to be THE MAN

    Rocket RIver

Yeah, the Clippers signed a great contract to Maggette! For the kind of production he provides he is on a pretty cheap deal. You would normally think he would be making around 10M per season.

But no way would we ever be able to obtain him. But he would look fantastic next to Tmac!

It's only a back-handed compliment when you cut his statement in half. How about we include "They are searching for their chemistry and when they get it, they'll be a tough team to beat."?

You mean the Pippen-Blazers that went to the Western Conference and almost beat the Lakers if not for a 4th Quarter meltdown?! That Blazers team that consistently made the playoffs is similar to the Clippers?

I get the "loaded roster" comparo, but there is no comparison between a winner and a chronic loser, at least IMHO.
