...and I am HAPPY! Shaq has some nice players to compliment him. The Van Gundy guy called some great plays too.

Gotta love that Kobe didn't get this one IN FRONT OF A NATIONAL AUDIENCE MIND YOU. :D

It was a fine game. I'm glad Miami won. I wish that T-Mac will come out and play with the aggression that Kobe displays in big games.

see tmac, look at kobe, he drove in and got fouled at least 3 times with no call, and did he stop driving in? no. and he was taking it at shaq no less. only 40% from the field but 13 trips to the line for basically free points.

damn i'm pissed. what does lamar odom have to do to get a call? and how many worthless players do the lakers have?

damn it would've been sweet to see that shot go in. really, just for the occasion, it should have. talk about a game that would've been remembered forever.

i pretty much sensed the heat would win the whole time. either through offensive rebounds or 3's, they would just eventually overtake them. who knew it would be without shaq and b/c of fastbreaks that they eventually pulled away. shaq's so important that they win without him and even came back a little that one time he went to the bench.

oh well, sweet game, bad ending.

I wish T-Mac had a little more of Kobe's extreme Type A personality

    Excellent ending.

Isnt kobe the cluthest player in the league? How's his shooting % at the end of regular time and OT? He hasnt hit any game winning shot this year. And his shooting % overall? Under 40%? Your new AI?

Drive to the hoop? Why the lakers didnt do that after shaq's out? Instead they kept shooting 3 pters.

Nice win by the heat. They are the clutchest team this year.

I'm glad Shaq is coming out of this thing looking good. Watching his press conference after the game, he's got it going on with the media and the fans. The guy really knows how to carry himself. I like him much better now that he is older than I did when he was constantly throwing all those left hooks around the defender's kidneys. He's coming out of this deal with Kobe, Kubchap, and Buss looking like the winner.

Since it looks like the Rockets are gonna continue to stink it up this year, I'll be rooting for him and the other Florida team. If the Rockets aren't gonna have a chance to win it, I'd just as soon see him or Francis win it. With apologies to Rudy, the Lakers and Kobe have a loooooooooooooooooong way to go before they get my respect.

My in-laws are all from the Ft. Lauderdale/Miami area. The screaming in my house was elated. Crazy game, and I'm glad Kobe lost.

Heh, I'm a Miami native, so I'm very happy with the results of today's game :D

Does anybody else think that the Rockets hired the wrong Van Gundy?

Dewayne Wade is really really good.

    What a crossover he has.

Wade could even been better if he wasn't hurting. He was clearly limping at times in the game. If he improves his outside shooting he can become a complete player.

Good call. You guys know I have been preaching all season long for Tmac to play more like that. The truely great players in the NBA ACCEPT and WELCOME contact. They are not afraid to attack the paint. That aggression in the long run really helps in terms of officials giving the aggressor the benefit of the doubt on drives late in the game too.

    Either attack or be attacked.

Every player on the Lakers immediately looks for their shot, regardless of the situation - b/c with Bryant on the floor - they aren't going to get many opportunities.

Awesome game! Kobe got his selfish 42 points but his team lost. Perfect ending! Lakers are now 0-3 when Kobe scores 40+.:D

    Key Points:

Dwayne Wade is the real freaking deal. He does a lot for that team, and did a lot Thursday and today, even while playing hurt. If he ever extends his range to three point land, he'll be a top 12 player, easy.

We got the wrong Van Gundy. He made things tough for Kobe in the end with the scheme he employed. Somebody else had to step up, Odom tried, but failed.

I like Rudy, but as long as they're ahead of the Rockets in the standings (while the Rox still have a chance) I have to root against them.

Kobe should stop faking and say phuuk you too Shaq, because Shaq sure aint hiding his feelings.

Did anybody notice Shaq is not as dominant as he is used to be?
Chris Mihm can defend him one-by-one now. Lots of time when Shaq posts, he can't really go to the basket strongly.

I am very surprised that Shaq got that many single coverage, but Miami's spacing is way better than Rox's. When Shaq got single coverage, he got lots of space to work with.

I really enjoyed Kobe's aggressiveness but I am glad the Miami Heat won this game.

    Shaq was a little bit dissapointing. Kobe kinda outplayed him but Wade and the rest of the posse was too much for the Lakers. Shaq rebounded terribly in this game especially in critical times. So I will give my grades like this;

Kobe = B+ (was agressive and assertive especially early but he lost his shot late).

Shaq = C- (was not very smart and did not rebound well).

Scoreboard goes to Miami after all is said and done - 11 straight and counting.
