I know I have made a few of these already, just wanna get some clear cut information before I get one.

I will need to get a flashcard with the camera, which is prob around $50 more correct?

Also I will need to get a memoy reader as well, to plug my flashcard into my computer?

    Any help is appreciated

It all depends on the type of Camera you get. There are numerous types of memory cards that are out right now and some are specific to the brand of Camera you get. Wherever you get the camera they will tell you which time of Memory card you are going to need.

As far as the Card reader your not going to really need that because you can connect your camera directly to your computer and use the software that comes with the camera to download your pictures.

Actually I have another question but its non-related to Digital Cameras, but I dont wanna make another post, so hopefully people will see it in here. I am thinking of getting another cell phone, but I was wondering if I can switch over phones through the same company and keep the same plan I have. My mom got me a cell phone about a year ago and I wanna upgrade, but I think she said something about having to have the phone for 2 yrs or something. Was wondering if I could get another phone from the same service but with the same plan?

    What company are you with?

As long as you are with the company you don't have to worry about the contract length. THe contract just makes you stay with that cell company without changing to another company.

Just go into one of the stores for your phone company and you can usually just pay for a new phone and switch your line over to the new phone.

I'm with Verizon, and thats what I personally figured, dont see why they wouldnt let you switch phones as long as you stay with them as your company. Thanks

Crap, just thought of another question, I assume they will deactivate the old phone, but do I need to take it in with me as I buy a new one?

You don't have to take in the old phone..you can always just buy the phone then come home and activate it or just activate it there in the store.

The old one is going to be deactivated as soon as you get the new phone working.

I dont like connecting and reconnecting my camera. Its much less of a hassel to remove the card vs. connecting the computer. It's just a matter of prefrence.

    More Digital Camera questions:

As mentioned in the Your Haul thread, I got a Digital Camera this year. It was a gift from the parents but it's the first digital I have so I don't know much about them. They got me this one:

    Samsung 4 megapixel Digimax 430

    Best Buy Link

I was thinking about getting one of the Cybershots from Sony like a couple of you got. This seems to be a good camera though, 4 mp and 30 fps video and runs off eithe Memory Stick Duo or SD cards.

Does anyone know anything about these? Would I be better off exchanging and covering the difference for a Cybershot, or is this pretty solid? Seems to eat through batteries rather badly...I always thought digital cameras would run off lithium batteries but I guess not.

I haven't found any reviews on your camera, but I did find the Sony I got for a ridiculous $143 @ Newegg using a $30 rebate

    Newegg

I can't find anything bad to say about the Sony, it's TINY and powerful

battery life is great, I used it all day yesterday on it's 2 AA's

also, it only works with Memory sticks I think, no SD

    Im the same way...

I have one of those Memorex multi-card readers...and it is tons easier to just take out the memory card and shove it into the card reader..
