Ok... sorry if this offends. But here are my thoughts. 1. We need athlethism. How about trading with the Lakers. Juwan Howard for one of their small forwards (Caron, Jumaine, Devean). I am sure they won't let Caron go, but Devean is more a likely candidate plus cap filler, i.e. Medvendenko. Lakers can move Odom to SF, have Juwan start at PF. We get rid of JH's contract and get younger. Devean has playoff experience and can shoot the 3-ball. JJ can play backup. 2. A Rebounding PF. PJ Brown for Mo-T straight up. We get a rebounding PF, while they get a younger PF along side Magloire. Same length of contract, helps both sides. 3. A better PG. How about a deal for Speedy? Send them Ward and Nachbar. Why would they do this? Beats me, but maybe since Nachbar's contract is expiring or we throw in a second round draft pick. But, at this point, teams that are willing to trade with us aren't winning and Golden State definately are not winning. So here's my line up: PG: Sura, Speedy. SG. T-Mac, Barry. SF: George, JJ. PF: PJ, Medevenko C: Yao, Mutombo. Thanks.
I like those suggestions. We would be more athletic and hungrier then with the present roster. Give CD a call! Go for it!
no way we get speedy. JVG would never trade ward either. the lakers would want mo first (rudy), not howard. but i would definitely do the hornet trade. i think they would too if we gave a second rounder at least.
I looked up devean george, and he has no stats for this year. What is wrong with him? Is he not playing at all or on the injured list or what?
These suggested trades with Chicago won't help us IMO. AD is washed up. He is no longer the defender and midrange shooter he was.
Not so sure about that. I think if Karl returns as a player, he'll play for the Spurs. If he returns for a front-office job, then it'll be with the Lakers. Why play for the Lakers when they already have two PF's? And their chances of winning a title is very slim with their current roster. In regards to the Bulls trade scenario proposed in this thread, it doesn't make sense for the Bulls since they're winning. Why disrupt that? They need to develop a winning environment even if they don't make the playoffs this year. Anyway... after watching tonight's game, Shaq kept using the word "team." Watching Kobe play, I am not sure if he understands that word.
