Luke Ridnour, Flip Murray, and Antonio Daniels.

They need a PF, Mo Tay for any of these 3 would be great.

Personally, I would take any of the 3 they are all pretty good talents.

If I had to choose one I would take Ridnour as my first choice as he seems to be more of a prototypical PG.

    But, any would do.....

Maybe now that Murray is healthy, Seattle will move Daniels....

    Thoughts?

well... it IS Christmas, so maybe Santa will come and make it happen !

seriously, if they were the sub 500 team they were predicted to be, it would make sense for them to take Mo T and his bloated contract (Mo's not THAT bad he just needs 30 mins a night and 20 shots per game) - but right now, I am not sure they would want to mess up the chemistry

that being said - I think they will fall off as the season goes along, so I certainly think that CD should lob them a call once a week - AD would be a mice long term piece to Tmac-Yao combo

I don't see Seattle making a move unless they start a free-fall. 'If it aint broke, don't...'

You can't squeeze PG minutes into 3 guys, I think some grumbling will happen, and they may move one of them to keep everyone happy.

Ronald Murray has averaged less than 5 assists per 48 minutes in his career. His AST/TO ratio is under 1.5. He's a below 30% 3P shooter.

I'd use the term point guard to describe him very loosely. He's a pretty good scorer, but passing and shooting are not his strong suits. He's not much to write home about defensively, either.

Ridnour and AD have been playing terrific ball for them; I would highly doubt either of them getting moved.

Murray's the one who hasn't been playing while Seattle is winning; he's the one they'd be most likely to move, if at all. I wouldn't be interested.

Guys....been gone a while, it is nice to see a smart DaDakota post. There are so many thing wrong with the Rox...where do we start?

    1) We need to get the 1 high energy bench player more PT (Barret - see Hart in Charlotte and Devin Brown and Mano G. in S.A.) Didn't we have a high energy guy that played D and ran/pushed our 93-94 teams up the court? (Scottie Brooks) No more DNP-CD's!!!!

    2) Shooters....Barry may fill that need, for a while....were the Rockets involved in the Kareem Rusch opportunity (why not)

    3) Rebounders.....? (don't have an idea)

    4) CD - no more dumb financial moves!!!!!!

Why has our team sunk to mediocrity?

Seattle is in first place in the Pacific at 19-5 so why would they unload a key player like Daniels or Ridnour? I doubt they'd let Ridnour go. Daniels they may trade because he will probably opt out next summer and they will get nothing in return. Murray is a backup not really starting material so why would we want him, we already have 4 backup PGs.

Seattle has two 6'8" good rebounding, little offense PFs while we have two 6'9" decent offense, little rebounding PFs. It would be a nice swap.

We might be able to do a Mo Taylor + draft pick(s) for Fortson + Daniels. If they want Howard instead of Mo then we'll need to add some filler, like Boki + Gaines.

Or we could get Reggie Evans + Daniels + filler for Howard + pick. Now Evans will be a free agent next summer and Daniels will probably opt out for more $$$ so we would have to resign them both for more $$$.

I'm pretty sure we'd like to trade Mo Taylor over Howard and they'd like to trade Fortson over Evans.

I doubt Seattle will make a deal as long as they are playing this well. However, if they begin to regress just a bit, Seattle might panic and try to make a deal.

Adding Daniels to this team would be awesome.

No way the Sonics give up Ridnour. He is in their future plans.

And NIKE is right on Flip Murray. He is a combo guard more like Jason Terry, which is more of a scorer than a set up man. Chances are Murray is the one on the block.

Although Daniels is in the last year of his contract and he will be a FA and is much older.

Seattle, if anything, isn't going to want more mid-range scoring; they are going to want someone who can work on the low post to keep defenses honest throughout the year and to match up against the bigger teams in the West. Taylor and Howard don't fit that bill.

They aren't likely to deal Fortson, Evans, Ridnour, or Daniels at all. They might move Murray, but only if they can get Ray Allen re-signed. If that doesn't happen, they may well let him walk and keep Murray at SG for the future. After all, he did very well for them in that role last year.

I'd classify a major deal for them as unlikely to happen unless they can get some of the same stuff the Rockets are looking for, making the two teams an unlikely match.

The thing with Seattle is they have to peddle Daniels and Radman at the deadline, or pay them in the offseason. They don't have any reason to rush that decision. We're not a threat to buy those guys for more than the MCE in the summer - we don't have any cap room.
Seattle has to pay Ray Allen, but they get to exit contracts for JJ and Vitaly. Really, they look to be sitting pretty. Flip Murry is a nice pick up for your microwave bench scoring at the 2 - not a starter. What they could use for a playoff push - a forward and a center, maybe some cash with a TE. Deke might have some interest. The TE could have some interest. Taylor - only if we pick up his salary, at least for a year. Then he's on a 1-year deal - not so bad. Howard - probably something the same.

EDIT - Boki could probably do well there, as a replacement for Rad, as a backup 3. We have to move him at the deadline, anyway.

We have no one on the team they need. Even if they trade, it wouldn't be with us.

We'd have to offer Tmac or Yao, for them to even consider trading with us. I get a funny feeling they wouldn't even take Tmac or Yao.

    I just saw pasox's idea.

Boki might be attractive to them.

Flip is not a PG (at least not the Flip I have seen).

Flip also has a big problem with being a role player from what I can deduce from my vantage point. That is not good or at least will not sit well with a team like ours. We do not need undersized wannabes like Flip but I will take him over Gaines though.
