don't expect to win when your bench only gave 8 pts

Beginning the 3rd quarter, Bobcats packed a tight zone inside and invited the Rockets to beat them from outside. We could not buy a basket with Lue/Ward at the backcourt and found outself down big.

Rockets didn't force the tempo in order to get easy shots in the 2nd half. This meant the Bobcats were able to get into their half-court defense which was to crowd TMac and Yao. Of course, this meant a whole lot of 3 pointers would be attempted by the Rockets. Rockets tried to go to Yao. Yao when shooting through a double team is an automatic turnover.

The Rockets didn't get the homecooking in terms of ref calls that I would expect.

I don't see how you can be optimistic about this team, I don't know what the optimists that are predicting a 4 seed playoff team are watching but you guys are on drugs. It seems like every team we play, I hear Worrell say we can't run as fast or we're not as athletic as the other team. Let's be real, this team only has 2 players that would be able to start for any other team in this league, the rest or our starters would only be backups and our backups would be playing in the NBDL. I remember saying last season that we were close (1 starter/role player) to contending and now it looks like we need like 4 players to get there. I am resigned to expecting to exactly how the Rox are playing, struggling to be a .500 team.

This is why I am surprised the Rockets tried to score from the half-court so much.

I said earlier today that the uptempo pace was anti-JVG meaning it was not in his nature to coach in this manner. What happened tonight was a reversion to the slowdown garbage that was what plagued the Rockets before.

We quit pushing the ball as soon as Lue came on to replace Sura, and wallah, we fall way behind.

WOOHOOO !!! JVG put our best PG on the IR and activated Ward.....

Man...it is so obvious that Barrett needs to be the backup, and Ward and Lue need to be washing dishes.

Blame it on JVG and CD for the direction of the team.

This team shold be built for the future - 2-3 years from now.

why do we bring in these so called vets?

do they think they can contend this year?

start Yao, TMac, Nachbar (future bench), Padget (future bench), sura for the experience of it.

    go find a young 4 and/or 2, gamble!!!!.

I am not trying to defend T-Mac or Yao or the Rockets, they had a bad showing in the second half.

But the last TO (after viewing it several times) looks like it hits Yoa's leg and then off the Bob Cat's player then out of bounds. Yao was pleading to the officials with no avail.

Well, it is Yao's team or Tracy's team. One of them has to take the responsibility. T-mac plays okay, he did not lose the game even though you want him to have another buzz-beater, but you can't count on that! Yao's 10 TO basically lost the game no matter whether Lue or Ward play or not.

On the other hand, the role players are not good or maybe it is JVG's substitution pattern or play call.

guys this is just a very sad day for the rockets franchise. In my mind it has hit rockbottom. I mean a home loss to the Bobcats!!!
Serious changes have to be on the way. Forwards suck and cant even score. No chemistry.

Mike D'Antoni of the Sun increases the tempo in order to maximize the shots for his primary players since the defenses cannot be set perfectly. JVG is doing exactly the opposite. He is allowing defenses to set up which was to cause trouble for Yao and TMac.

I guess you can blame everyone, but can't blame just Yao. 10 TOs are terribel terrible numbers, but at least he was aggressive, 14 borads and 6 off. boards. Don't we want that from him? He needs to adjust. By the way, who got called for 3 offensive fouls, not to mention an all-star. what do you mean it doesn't matter whether Lue or Ward played? If any one of them could have just 1 SINGLE assist as point guard, we had a game! It's beyond everyone, why JVG loves Lue that much. Just because he's hard nosed? YOu can get a lunatic running like mad dog on the court! What has that to do with point guard, who suppsed to be the command on the field. What a joke!
