By the way, I had the exact same injury he has playing basketball in June, and it STILL hurts.

The ankle is recovered, but my flexibility is only around 90% or so.

Yea and he was doing it all this time with no class. Maybe that is why so many are not feeling sorry for him, hmmm....

Karma in more ways than one.

TO runs to the star a few years ago.
Philly fans cheer as Irvin's career ended.

I wish no injury on any player but if it has to happen to someone, it could be a more deserving player or at a more deserving place.

You know, I always defend TO's attitude and antics because I find them very amusing and entertaining, but heh, this is pretty funny too.

    Yeah, I'm a b*stard.

His attitude stinks. He shows up opponents.

That's what he's done to me. He is a plague on the NFL.

The most disappointing thing about this situation is Owens is stuck on 14 touchdowns. I was really looking forward to that fat b*stard having to parade around in a pair of tights. :)

    Damn, damn, DAMN!!!!

I'm probably the biggest Eagle fan on the board and this seriously hurts. :( :( :(

I can't believe anybody would think this is a good thing either. Call it karma, what goes around comes around, or whatever but to laugh or poke fun at it is just in poorest of tastes.

What the hell is Stephen A. Smith doing commenting on football anyway?

Wow, I had totally forgot about Calico. I was referring to Musa Smith of Baltimore.

    Counting Calico, that makes

    Two broken legs
    A broken ankle
    Two sprained knees
    and a torn ACL

for Roy Williams this season all on the same type of tackle.

I don't think they can do anything about it but I would definitely expect the NFL to look into that tackling style.

Don't forget that Roy knocked out Emmitt smith, Kurt Warner, and others last year.

I see why Todd Pinkston was scared of Roy now. Wouldn't you be?

Best statement I've heard, you think that T.O. is a bad influence and I can respect that but you don't want to see him get injured or anybody else for that matter. Great, I have gained a new respect for you DD, if it matters.

    Same here.

Saying that T.O. deserved an injury based on his on-field antics is insane. How could people be like that?

Do you know the man personally off the field? You only see his competetive side. Wishing harm on T.O. is like laughing at some random guy you see on that street that's injured.

    Absolutely ridiculous

It was the same pull down drom behind move that did it both times. I could see that tackle being aginst the rules if he keeps that up

I don't think he is intentionally breaking bones so I doubt it will be outlawed.

Oh I forgot to include my 2 cents, I agree with others in saying that I don't wish injury upon anyone, but after seeing TO's antics on the field I can't stand the guy. So say what you want, but after finding out about this, I can't help but smile.

Just what has Green Bay done this year to make you pick them over Atlanta? Lose to Chicago, the Giants, Tennessee and Jacksonville by a combined score of 69-111...all at HOME!

Please! Like it or not, Atlanta is now the favorite to come out of the NFC. They have a first round bye and play at home in the second(where they are 7-1). Philly will be lucky to win a playoff game but without Owens, Atlanta will roll them in Philly. If Philly loses in the second, Atlanta hosts the NFC championship.

    SUPERBOWL BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You have to watch the Falcons now that Philly may be in trouble without TO. They win ugly but still manage to win.

In the AFC I like the Stelers but something tells me Big Ben will have a bad game along the way so I wouldl go with the Pats. BUT, if the Jets beat NE next weekend and knock NE to the #3 seed then I will have to take Pittsburgh.

i don't find atlanta overly impressive, either. that's why i went with the packers. not because i was so excited about the packers...but because favre has been there before and the rest of the teams don't excite me.

by the way..if you're talking about losing some bad games..how about atlanta getting shut out by freaking TB?
