Oh, I'm sorry then. I just assumed it was one of your usual drunk moments. You know how those go, right? :)

    Most definitely, Sir :).

Actually, maybe having a drink once in a while is not a bad thing, one gets less uptight :).

Unfortunally right now Yao Ming with or without T Mac looks like a joke, 6-07 guys are dunking on him on a regular basis.

For the two score champions, I have to say that the second one, which got in the worst NBA team of the year, is not a joke, but doesn't worth that much.
And aslo, when you were 5/20, many other guys in the team shoot like 50%, it's not a wise thing to keep throwing bricks. Attack the rim or create for others.
For me, the reason for this lose is that we didn't continue to do the right thing in the 4th quarter. It's Yao and others' effort in 3rd Q, not Tmac, gave 10 pts lead. Tmac was cold, he was 1/5 in 3rd Q. But he continued to shoot and miss. Finally Bobcats could hang around and came back. He might think the 10 pts gave him some freedom to try his shots back? It's selfish or what? He was cold and this night was obviously not belong to him. Give the ball to others, assist and attack the rim! I saw MJ did this so many times when he was off. Being a leader is not easy. Be wise.

T-Mac had a bad game but this loss is not his fault. We had like 8 TOs in the 4th quarter...thats why we lost this game.

TMac is the most overrated, overpaid, heartless and selfish player in NBA.

T-mac is a good player. Right now, he is shooting too many jumpers without driving to the hoop and he is not getting the Jordan treatment.

I remember last time TMAC began his 3-pt with something like 1/9. That's crazy. Players should know when to stop. Usually they stop after 0/5 or 1/5 and then try other ways. Coaches also don't let you continue to do that. It seems Tmac has very high confidence on himself. He WAS the score champion. So what? If you look back the past games, except the 30 secs, his shooting percentage is bad. He can't just keep shooting like that. He has many assists, but he still looks like playing as his own. I don't think he is a selfish person at all, but his playing style? I don't know.

Bobcats nip Rockets in OT, 101-100

01:34 AM CST on Sunday, December 19, 2004

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- The Charlotte Bobcats never wavered in their desire to build their franchise around Emeka Okafor. The rookie is proving they made the right choice.

Okafor had 23 points and 17 rebounds, his 12th consecutive double-double, to lead the expansion Bobcats to their first winning streak with a 101-100 overtime victory against the Houston Rockets on Saturday night.

Okafor sent the game into overtime with a dunk over Dikembe Mutombo with 3 seconds left in regulation, then helped Charlotte win its second straight game by battling for a loose ball late in the extra period that sent him to the sideline with a bloody nose.

"Emeka Okafor is a definite star in the making in this league," Houston's Tracy McGrady said.

Clinging to a 98-97 lead, Okafor missed twice on a pair of putback attempts that Charlotte was certain he was fouled on. The Bobcats argued as the Rockets pushed the ball up the court, but Okafor stayed with the play.

Jim Jackson missed a 3 for the Rockets, Mutombo got the rebound and missed on a jumper and Okafor scrambled for the ball. He took an elbow to the nose as the ball bounced out of bounds, but teammate Gerald Wallace was fouled by Bob Sura to go to the line.

Wallace made one free throw for a 99-97 lead with 19 seconds to play and Okafor out getting his nose plugged. He returned as McGrady missed for Houston.

Jamal Sampson was fouled and made both free throws to put Charlotte up 101-97 with 3 seconds to play, a large enough margin to make McGrady's 3-pointer at the buzzer meaningless.

Okafor, the NBA Rookie of the Month for November, has scored in double figures in points and rebounds 16 times this season.

But afterward, he was mostly in awe of Houston's Yao Ming, who had 16 points and 19 rebounds against Okafor before fouling out late in the fourth quarter.

"He is so tall," Okafor said. "You see him on TV, and you have no idea. Then I got up against him and I was like `Dang!' I have no idea how to stop him."

But once Yao went out, Okafor only had Mutombo to deal with and did just fine.

He tied it at 92 with a turnaround jumper over Mutombo with 28 seconds left in regulation, and after McGrady hit a 20-foot jumper that put Houston up 94-92 with 7 seconds to play, Okafor didn't back down. Brevin Knight fired the ball inside, and Okafor jammed it in over Mutombo to tie it with 3 seconds left.

"He hustled," Mutombo said of Okafor. "That's been part of his game since college, trying to go after any loose ball. He did a great job ... I give him all the credit for their win."

Keith Bogans finished with 19 points for Charlotte, Wallace had 15, and Sampson had 11 rebounds for the Bobcats, who won their fifth consecutive game at the Charlotte Coliseum.

McGrady scored 29 for the Rockets, who blew an 11-point lead in the fourth quarter. Houston had 23 turnovers -- 18 were Charlotte steals -- and was outrebounded 53-43.

"We lost the game on turnovers and bad fouls in the fourth quarter," Houston coach Jeff Van Gundy said. "I'm very disappointed in the way we played."

Then why is it that all the knowledgeable commentators say the only way out of a shooting slump is to KEEP SHOOTING? TMac's a great player, he'll have some off nights, but I'd rather take my chances on him right now than on a Yao who fumbles away possessions and plays like the paint is the Bermuda triangle or something.

I agree Tmac should keep shooting. He is our No.1 weapon. There is no reason to let him stop shooting after a few misses.
But in an off night like this , how about 20 attempts? Is that necessary to try 30 attempts in a off night? Or you mean, if Tmac is off, we just give away the wins?

    Y'all are too negative.

    Look at the bright side.

Steve Francis & the Houston Magic are kicking ass!!
Rudy is doing a damn fine job too!

    I've never been a Knicks fan;
I'd rather be rooting for Steve & Rudy anyday! :)
