    Won't happen.

Nebraska scores first in route to a solid, if not dominating, 38 - 16 victory.

    Bob,

Notre Dame will always be my 2nd favorite team behind Texas, and you don't know how much I want to see them win tomorrow. However, as much as my heart says that they can do this, my head says that Nebraska is just too tough. I do expect Notre Dame to put up a fight though.

    Nebraska 37
    Notre Dame 27

Maybe on Nintendo, but not on the football field tomorrow. The Huskers will win but not cover the spread.

What a game it was, Nebraska got lucky. Notre Dame just made mistakes at the end. Crouch did a nice play at the end to win the game for nebraska, but I think Notre Dame just fell apart.

Notre Dame's coach should be dragged in an alley and be shot. That was the most ignorant judgment call at the end of regulation that I have ever seen. With a 1:07 left in the 4th quarter, he decides it would be best to let the clock run down and take his chances in the overtime. Not such a great decision is it Bob Davie. You could have at least tried to get far enough down the field to get into field goal position, but "NO", that would be stupid RIGHT? Idiot

Anytime you have the #1 team in the country tied, you take it to overtime where anything can happen. ND almost pulled it off. They should move into the top 15 now.

Damn, I was actually impressed with Dame today. Normally, they're good on paper, just overrated on the field. [IMG]
Seriously, I think I was just a BIT off on my pick...

    First, I was wrong.

Secondly, who's gonna replace them : Florida St. looked terrible versus GTech, Michigan hasn't played anyone, neither has Florida and Miami lost.

Nebraska will bo No. 1, FSU will lose some first place votes and nothing will change in the top 3.

First off, it really hurt seeing Notre Dame lose like that. They should have won that game- they had a lot of opportunities. I still would have tried to move the ball in the last minute instead of sit on it.

But that's not near as bad as the news out today. Arnaz Battle has a broken wrist and may be out for the season. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/football/college/news/2000/09/10/notredame_battle_ap/

Also, the coaches poll is out. Nebraska stays at 1 and FSU at 2. Florida State did have a chance at #1 if they performed well last night, but they barely got out of Georgia Tech with a win much less an excellent performance.

How far do you guys think Nebraska will fall? Surely they won't be number one on the next poll.
