Lebron James: Already one of the 5 best players in the L. Amazing

Yao Ming: Can dominate games, but of course I have been disappointed in him a lot of times too. If only he could be consistent.

Elton Brand: Scorer, defender, just a solid player.

Dwight Howard: Has played great as a 3rd 4th option for the Magic. Excellent rebounder, and he's already built like a freak. Can develop into a truly great player.

Kenyon Martin: Good defender, but this guy is overrated. What is this guys go to move on offense? Get the feed from someone and dunk it? Most definetly not a go to guy. He's very exciting, but not a great player IMO.

    Kwame Brown: bah....

There were alots talk about Yao and Jay Williams when they are in the draft, would you draft Jay if he is better than Yao? Even we already have Steve and Cat?

If he were indeed the better player, yes!

The Trailblazers made the worst mistake in their franchise history by not taking the best player on board because they already had a player playing that position in the 1984 draft.

Over the last 25 years, the No. 1 overall picks have produced 10 superstars and 4 total busts. The rest of them were all-star level players (busts in my book). So according to my definition, a team has a 40% chance of getting a superstar with the No. 1 overall pick. If your GM is good enough, you should be able to do that. Of course, this is not considering years like 2000 when there was just no superstar player in the draft (on average there is at least one superstar player in each draft). If you analyze the No. 2, No. 3 picks and so on, you'll find that the superstar percentage drops significantly. This is because with the No.1 overall pick one really can take a look at any player in the draft and hence has a much better chance of getting the best player.

Top picks are expected to win roy, put up big numbers, dominate games, play in asg, win mvp and ultimately win an nba ring. As good as lebron is, the potential of yao is hard to ignore. He just have to develop a mean streak in him and he could easily be a top ten player.

Lebron - Yao -- i decided its a tie eventhough lebron is putting up mvp numbers and a top five player in the game right now. Before their careers is over, each of them will win an mvp award and an nba ring as well

brand - very consistent double-double threat and very coachable
Howard - potential just like yao

martin - the most intense competitor among the bunch but he is just a good complimentary player.

brown - Jordan should be crucified here in getting the biggest bust in the nba in the last two decades
