Hmm..they don't stop..they just keep on going running shooting. Amazing. We will probably slow down the game..Yao will have to be a monster..and Mo and Howard have to keep up..Jimmy too...or play all 5 small forwards we have lol (interchangeable). Maybe we will make a trade before we play them..whenever we do. Sonics can beat us by penetrating and dishing to the open man. I think Sura and Tmac can do well. Yao will have to be a true big man inside and be like Dikembe for a night..don't let them have anything inside. Yao can own Hunter easily..remember when Hunter was on the Magic lol. But Hunter has gotten better more athletic. I hope we can beat both of these teams. We need everyone to play well..We'd be great if everyone can contribute some good quality play consistently

PHX played 3 good teams this year. They lost 2 of them. If they lose to Seattle tonight, that would mean they played 4 good teams, and lost 3 of them.

Seattle however, is playing incredible ball, and beating good teams. I don't see how they can be stopped if they keep playing at this level.

I just finished watching the first half.

It was fun to watch. Reminded me of the Kings Mavs games 3 years ago. Remember those?

To kinda answer your question, what beats the suns and Sonics?

    Playoffs.

Which is it; poor defense or flat out great offense?

actually as the game goes on..they are definitely not perfect..good..but they are sloppy make mistakes..goes so fast that turnovers dont' seem as bad lol.

And yeah true clover..playoffs is different. :)

    Rockets are preparing hopefully. WOOO

oh yeah and the defense isn't that good. we play good defense although we aren't as athletic. team defense. we can do it. i still would like that PF..

btw amare isn't that great. from this game..he has a bad temper..he can't shoot..he really doesn't play much defense..he does try but can't block every single shot..he can really dunk..he can jump..but it's like erratic. He does some nice stuff..and is quick can drive past people explosively...But people aren't intimidated of him at all..they attack him with not really that much fear.

Slow the game down, play JVG style's defense. If we can score 100 pts, we will definitely win over them.

I saw the game too. It was definitely bad defense. JVGrumpy would have a heart attack and die if he saw the way Suns and Sonics play defense.

The Suns really have an attitude...I guess passion..but they look quite immature..haha that'd be funny if a ref called a technical foul on the whole team for being so whiny the entire game with .5 seconds left and Sonics down by 1 lol.

Ehhh Johnson and Q. Rich are damn good..Nash is really good.

Sonics are good too..Allen does some nice moves but didn't finish tonight..Daniels woulda been nice here but Sura is just fine.

Yeah I still love the Rockets :D

seattle was stupid to try for just a 3 point shot during that 30 sec scramble they should have gone 2 for 1 or when it dipped below 24 just get the 2 and foul and then run a play to free up for a 3. horrible mental breakdown there at the end

We won't need 100 pts. Did you see the half court offense they are running?

We are capable of holding them to 90....if they are hitting their shots.

    uh...

    111-113 loss to Sac
    107-101 win over Dallas
107-102 win over Lakers (who are almost .600)
120-101 win over Cavs (who are over .600)
    93-97 loss to Min
    113-110 win over Lakers
121-100 win over Orlando (almost .600)
and the win tonight over Seattle

they have faced solid tests and are playing very good ball.

I got a strange feeling....that you know the answer to that question. ;)

First of all, what defense? I didn't see any.

Next, it sure wasn't great offense, unless you consider passing the ball to the other team, or to the fans great offense.

In all fairness, this game was built up too much, it's almost like they are both trying too hard to prove they have the best offense. I've see them play better(less dumb turnovers) than last night.

It looked like a very good pickup game. They don't play pickup games in the playoffs.

I knew someone would do this....

I don't consider the Lakers, Magic, and the Cavs good teams. Obviously you do. There is nothing more I could say to amend our differences.

Yes, they just beat a very good Sonics team, and should be(rightfully so) considered the best team in NBA by most people.

I personally believe the Spurs are still the best.

I also believe we could beat them in a 7 game series. Perhaps not right now. Although I suspect maybe we already could, but surely very soon, say 1 more month.

Suns are definitely playing well, but I wouldn't say they've been tested that much. The Lakers aren't that good. They've feasted on the bad teams and haven't done well vs clubs with over .500 records. And the Cavs have been very mediocre on the road this year. This win over Seattle was huge, but I'd really like to see how Phoenix does against the Spurs. If they can take a couple from San Antonio like the Sonics have done, then that would be really impressive.

The difference between Sonics and Suns is that Sonics can play the half-court game, when Suns cannot, or at least its not their strength. Sonics will be dangerous in the playoff, while Suns will choke in a slow-down pace.

The sad part of the story is both teams are freaking deep. They have tons of good players. If Rockets role players are half as talented/atheletic as Suns/Sonics role players, Rockets will be unstoppable.

Give credit where it is due. Suns and the sonics are playing well. They just have a simple game plan, run and run, gun and gun. But you cant argue results. They have the best records in the league together with the spurs who i beliv are miles away from these two wannabes. They beat teams that they should beat, and they even beat better teams. The rockets cant say that. Suns and sonics are just that good than the rockets now. Losing to bad teams and losing bad to detroit and dallas show that the rockets have so much more to improve as a team. If only jvg can balance his defense and the talents of his squad, specifically tmac and yao, the rockets could go on a roll and enter the play offs again.

I have made the comparison to the 02 mavs and Kings.
    Sonics = Kings
    PHX = mavs

The similarities are striking. The way media is hyping up these teams is also strikingly similar.

PHX is more dangerous coming playoff. Amare is a good inside presence.
