Dunno if its been posted yet but something about kenny thomas could be a possible rocket in the immediate future.
I like K. Thomas from his days here was here before but I hope not. He isn't all that better than what we have, IMO. Can he shoot better? Sure. Can he rebound better? Somewhat. But, I don't think there's enough of those thngs PLUS a defensive presence to make a difference. Now, if he comes with a side of Dalembert (which I doubt), "Welcome back Kenny!"
If we trade for KT, add me to the fire JVG bandwagon. He takes and misses too many shots. Just what we need, another player who will take the perimeter J even though he cant make it consistently. I sure hope the Rockets brass is smarter than this. The fact they are even considering him is a let-down to me as a Rockets fan. It saddens me. We need a striaght up banger like Najera who will have Yao's back.

uumm....averaged less than or right at 10 shots in 30 minutes a game... considering the amount of them he made...it wasnt that bad. and IIRC, werent most of his shots from inside 15 feet or so? moot point really...I dont particularly like this "rumored" move, just playing devils advocate...
The only way we give them Spoon for KT is if there is another part of the deal, say Dalembert for Boki or something like that.
Man, that would be too good to be true. Maybe... Howard, Spoon, Nachbar, future pick for Thomas, Dalembert, McKie Of course, it would only be a cap move for them and thier future.
spoon for KT works too well for them. what if we added JH and williamson? overall it would be a lateral move capwise, but we get younger. KT is much better than spoon or JH. and williamson will bring some toughness and ease the logjam at the 4 while providing a decent backup 3.
how about contributing to the conversation instead of pointing out that this has already been talked about...
Corliss and KT are essentially the same player, undersized PF's. We gonna trade 2 bigger men for 2 undersized men to play the PF and we expect to improve our rebounding? I don't see that happening. We know that Mo and Juwon are repetitive, why would Philly want that? Philly wants cap space. They got big dog coming off the books this year, then they get Spoon coming off the books next year. Both excellent opportunites to add pieces around AI, Igoudala, and Korver. We get an overpaid KT and young potential in Dalembert. This move helps us match with San Antonio and we can still pick up a PG in the offseason with the MLE and the draft pick. We need Dalembert Swift Chandler Wilcox Nene
I loved KT when he was here and I always thought he gave 110% which is more than I see from some of our players now. I don't know about his contract situation, but if its not too painful, I am all for bringing him back
no...this isn't a rumor, it was just one person calling in and saying we get Dalembert. Matt Jackson said, "No, Philly will never trade him." And then the caller said about KT. One caller said KT gets too many travelling calls, thats why we shouldn't get him. Matt Jackson said, he'd certainly be an upgrade to the 4 right now. But the bottom line is: KT has a bad contract, and the Rockets are already loaded with bad contracts. We can't add another one.
One small point to keep in mind about KT. He played his best ball for Philly under Brown, a highly disciplined coach who preaches defense. Could he maybe turn it back on for Van Grumpy? Although his contract is atrocious, there is no way that he could be worse than Mo and Juwon right now.
