He would have been a low risk signing. A proven veteran PF who is ATHLETIC. He's average 9pts 7boards a game for Detroit. Would be a perfect compliment for Yao, plus he looks like USHER.

I remember that he mentioned that he wanted to play with the Rockets then we got that crap SF [IMG]
who doesnt deserve to be on the 50 greatest players of all time cause he couldnt carry a team and kept insulting his teamate
    [IMG]
who took a pay cut to have him on his team.

    McDyess also went to ALABAMA!
Remember the last PF we got from Alabama?
    We won TWO CHAMPIONSHIPS!

That PF so far has 5 CHAMPIONSHIPS!:)

What have we done with Michigan PFs?

Dude that's nothing, Derick Fisher makes more than that. How much are Spoon/Taylor/Juwan making?

oh, yeah...well we have Juwan Howard, so I'm not sweating it, either.

looks more like brian mcknight than usher. which is a compliment, because Mr. McKnight is even a real life musician. :)

Im not disputing that I am saying at the time of free agency he was not considered a low risk. He had been injured for quite some time. Many people in papers websites etc thought he would get a couple mil a year.

Scottie, Usher, and Antonio have extremely wide noses.

IIRC McDyess has played all of 1 game in the past 2 weeks.

    He's a walking, talking injury.

granted there is a height difference.

But if we went back in time we should have said "YEAH YEAH YEAH" to Antonio vs Pippen.

a little off topic, but i remember watching the ncaa tournament one year and iowa state was playing against alabama. the marquee matchup in that game was antonio mcdyess vs kelvin cato. if i remember correctly, it was a good game to watch. i think they both played really well, but mcdyess got the better of the matchup (before the injuries, he was more offensively gifted)

Not to mention he does live here in HOuston....we could have had him if they went after him but all the money we have tied up in PF's we are not getting anyone till we get rid of one.
