I predict this term Rummy will be sacrificed over the war in Iraq. This remark will be used against him. Probably one year or less. After the election, which we are going all out to rig, doesn't do much to quell the violence Canning Rummy might give Bush some breathing room when it keeps getting harder to spin things as the "insurgents getting desperate to stop the 'march of freedom'" or whatever. Rummy will be the fall guy to make Dubya look like the competent Commander in Chief. .
Please tell me what pressure Bush has on him right now. He just won re-election, has the House and the Senate, has a stranglehold on governorships, and his opponents are in a state of disarray. Pressure? Ha!
Jorge see the thread where a "Conservative Calls for Rummy's Head (2 minutes after mine). Good to see that you at least agree that we are getting the full Republican Monty. No whining in a year or two that Clinton, liberals in Congress or the Media are responsible for our problems.
One can only hope. And he needs to take Wolfowitz with him ... and Cheney while we're at it (although only Cheney's health could accomplish that).
