Spawning from Troy Mclure's Worst xMas Present thread, vote on which one you wouldn't like to get... I added a few more. We may want to merge... truce...
I will have to think on my worst Christmas present, but the worst things I ever got in my stocking were an orange and apple. Any of you get fruit in your stocking? Show me the candy and the cd's. What in the world am I going to do with fruit???
I personally think that the worst gift is money but only if your a grown up. All other gifts require some sort of effort in preparation or shopping. If your a grown up with a real job, then money is something you really don't need. I am getting money this year because I do not really want anything which is the other dilemma with x-mas. Your grown up, have a job, and can buy anything you want already. So, you already own what you want if you really wanted it. Otherwise, you don't really need it or want it all that much. So, money is the fall-back gift and requires absolutely no effort other than cutting a check. But, you can always take that money and go buy something later. However, you already have money to do that anyway so... . I don't know if you'll get what I'm saying or not. Let me say it another way. SANTA IS GIVING ME MONEY BUT HE DOESN'T MAKE THE MONEY...THE US GOVERNMENT DOES. LOL Surf
Surf..... I disagree. My parents are the ones most likely to give me money...for good reason...they dont have a clue as to waht I need or want....and Im just broke enough so that I cant afford to go splurg on some random gadget whenever I want one. SO, in my case at least, money is more than welcome and appreciated.

I still stand by my thick bulky gloves that I couldn't even play football in compared to the choices in your poll. Of course, a lot of the reason for me picking that is the expectation that I was actually going to get a good gift...silly me, what was I thinking?
I had to go with the gala tickets because to use them, JV would have to rent a tux and any gift that requires the recipient to spend money for it to be used isn't much of a gift. As for the food choices, I can't eat popcorn and I'm not crazy about my grandmother's taste in food or her cooking ability so those aren't particularly great gifts but they are at least re-giftable for a white-elephant Christmas party. I can understand not caring for the nasty types of chocolate covered cherries but real brandied cherries covered with high quality semi-sweet chocolate are awesome! Come to think of it, I have some brandied cherries, I could make some tomorrow...
