OUr record is 9-12 but i believe at the end of this month we be in the .550. If we be in the playoff will we be the 8th or the 7th spot. Or maybe the 6th spot. What your thought.

IN the playoff Rock vs. SAc.

I think you would be better off trying to figure the number of ping pong balls we are going to get.

We're looking lottery straight down the barrel, even if we manage to finish with 45 wins.

Seeing how Seattle and Phoenix can get 50 wins by just doing a little better than 0.500 ball the rest of the way, I'd write them into the postseason in pen.

In Pen: Spurs, Mavs, Wolves, Kings, Suns, Sonics. 6 seeds taken.

Houston's 3 wins under 0.500, but I'd be shock if their fluff December schedule doesn't take them to 15-15. It's not crazy to think that they'll end up with 45 wins, but that could very likely be the ceiling.

I don't think Memphis will emerge as a contender for the playoffs. They reeked of a fluke last year, and the chemistry has gone the way of the dodo. If Jason Williams is back to being Slim Shady, forget them. 35 wins.

Utah probably will rebound, but AK47 is gone for a month, and probably won't be himself again until after the break. I'd say it's even money that they have that same 45 win max ceiling as the Rockets.

That leaves Denver (12-8), Lakers (12-8), Clips (11-8), and Portland (10-9). Portland and Denver probably are going to keep going on the paces they're on (P-43 wins, D-49 wins). Lakers and Clips are complete wildcards. Clips are the Clips, and Kobe's Kobe.

    My bet?
Denver and Lakers take the last two slots, and the Rockets don't get close enough to dogfight. Rockets would need to end up with a near 50-win record to grab the 8th seed, and that would mean they need to go about 40-21 from here on out.

I still think we make the playoffs..

we had one of the toughest Novs. in the league and one of the easiest Dec's (minus Mavs/Spurs) and should be able to pad our wins and stats alot this month. If we somehow tank this month its over and we wont have another chance to pad our record.

As bad as a start Denver got, they are 3 games over .500, it just shows how bad we are.

Lakers are the same story, they have Kobe/Odom and thats it. People that want to argue that this team needs time to gel need to look at the Lakers and Magic. Both of those teams had just as big changes as we did and they are playing fine.

We'll be lucky to get into the playoffs, period, which is pretty sad.

    Hmm

Srubs like Jumaine Jones dropping 25 pts on 7 out of 8 three pointers. Chucky Atkins hitting a clutch 3. Brian Cook stepping up, Chris Mihm getting double doubles

    You're right Toast
How are we losing we have big name Porwer Forwards like Juwan Howard, Weatherspoon, and Mo Taylor?
    They have big names!

I certainly wouldn't say the playoffs are out of the question, but it is highly unlikely. I think the only real hope is that they win the games they should win the rest of this month and it gets them on a roll to where better team chemistry could carry them to a few wins they shouldn't get a la the San Antonio game.

I'm not normally the most optomistic person, but we will be a 5 - 6th when it's all said and done this year.

We're only 4 1/2 games off of the 5th seed in the conference with 61 games to play!!!!

Yeah you heard that right, we have 61 games to play!!!!! You guys are nuts if you think this team will be lottery bound.
