First of all i want to say that all season i have been saying that we need more time to gell and to give this team more time before we start panicking. However, standing at 9-12 and 3 games behind the 8th seed i think its now or never for this team if they are to make the playoffs.

Even though there is still alot of games left to be played, the next 9 games (rest of this month) will make or break the Rockets season. With 6 of the 9 games at home the Rockets will have more time to practice so they can try to develop better chemestry on offense and have a better feel for where everyone is on defense.

In order to make this season even somewhat successful most of us here on CF.net will agree that the Rockets would have to make the playoffs. If they go 4-5 or even 5-4 over the next 9 games i don't think that will be achieved. The Rockets should be able to go 7-2 (in my mind) over the next 9 games (maybe even 8-1). If they can do that then they should be able to contend for a playoff spot and be at or close to the 8th seed on Jan. 1. But if they go 4-5 or something like that then i think we are looking at a lottery season.

I want to add if we are still below .500 by the end of the month JVG should be fired.

    Yes, he should be.

If we can't go 6-3 in this strech, JVG needs to go.

Absolutely. And I am really not optimistic on that.

Shouldn't the Rockets be playing for a lottery pick? Best long-term strategy.

Like i said if we play poorly in the next 9 games then we are looking at the lottery. I am hoping this team can put together a good stretch and get back into the playoff mix.

Even if we do start looking at the lottery the way CD has drafted recently, can we really count on a draft pick coming in and helping us right away. I doubt it.

JVG would want to trade it for known talent.

Time to gell implies that they are still getting to learn how to play together. However that does not address the lack of heart and passsion to win. Honestly how many players on the team would you say have the passion to right the boat?

    T-Mac for sure

after that it is hard to say

Maybe Sura and Barrett then who???

The PF position is a huge roadblok for this team and considering the wealth of talented power forwards in the west the Rocks prospects just don't look good.

Now if the Rocks got Karl MAlone........

Yeah he is old but he has balls.

I think JJ plays with passion. and even though he doesnt show it, Yao is also playing hard and trying to win.
