So I was out of town and left my wife a phone message last night to please please please tape the game, and I just got back, and .... she never listened to the message. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAUGH Anybody got a good-quality tape and ability to dub it? I'll pay the costs for tape, mailing, etc., out of our wedding anniversary fund.
As you more than likely have a PC able to watch videos...why not download R2K's video later today. If you're on a dialup connection, I could burn it to a CD for you and mail it once I have it downloaded.
I have DSL. What software do I need to download that video? I don't know anything about torrents. Advice welcome.
Just download bittorrent and a good client program; I use Shareaza but it's apparently not the best, though its user friendly which is all I really want. Rockets2k will get you well on the way to downloading goodness. Send him an email or post in one of the GARM threads that has last nights torrent in it. Also m_cable has a lot of torrent advice ususally.
Will, Azureus is going to be my recommendation for your bitorrent client. Azureus has many features and is easy to use. If you want somethjing a little less resource hungry, there are quite a few others to choose from. once you have that installed, click on the link that I will be posting in the near future(hopefully within the next hour or so). It should automatically open your bitorrent client and start the download. As long as you have a good fast connection, you shoudl get it in no time..the server will have 4 high speed pipes open to do the intial seeding.(Ive heard reports of < 2 hour downloads with half that many pipes open) IF you run into any problems, post in the thread I will post the link in, and one of our many quasi-experts will probably be able to steer you in the right direction.Or you can email me, but Im headed to league around 6:15 or so...so I may not be able to answer till later. also....download the xvid codec http://files.divx-digest.com/software/codec/XviD-1.0.2-29082004.exe
I taped the game on Direct TV with my TiVo and it stopped recording with about 4 minutes left in the game. If anyone can at least tape the last 4 minutes on a video cassette I'll pay for the shipping and the tape and any other expense necessary.
stroker, go into GARM and find the thread titled [torrent]Rox vs Spurs....there is a link to the torrent of the game...same goes for Will, but Im guessing he already found it. it shouldnt take long to download..the swarm is huge and the server is pumping data out at a ridiculous rate.
