Reading this article once again reinforces my hatred for Los Angeles sports teams. Next to New York, the arrogance of that city is insufferable. Keep dreaming about Yao coming to LA, you freaks, because that is all it is ever going to be - a dream.
I think Yao has a great chance of leaving the team. I believe a few possible teams Yao may land in would be the Nets who will have a ton of money after the Kidd deal, and Jefferson as a comlimentary star, and of course the Magic, if they decide to not retain Mobley, or keep him at a moderate price at about 6-7 mill/year, and the Clippers, who also have a ton of money after not being able to sign Kobe. I think the Magic have a great shot especially since Franchise is there. If the Rox keep losing like this, it's only a matter of time when Yao will flee to another team.
Knock off version? I.... CAN'T.... STOP.... LAUGHING! Considering McGrady did something no other player has ever done less than 24 hours ago, there's hardly a more ludicrous statement I can think of right at the moment.
Good question. I live in LA and am a UCLA grad and have to put up with Adande who is a USC loving jackass who writes the most incredibly biased articles lavishly praising USC (known locally as the UNIVERSITY OF SECOND CHOICE) while dumping on UCLA as if we were some local community college. Don't pay attention to this guy. He doesn't deserve it.
Many Rox fans can disoute it as much as you'd like, but Bryant is still the model that every 2 guard in the league tries to emulate. 3 things separate Kobe from T-Mac. 3 RINGS!!! Ever since the Laker's first championship Bryant has been the paradigm. We have seen the determination and the highest level of play from Bryant in the past 3-4 years, leading the Lakers along with Shaq to win three titles. Defensivley, offensively, mentally and physically, Bryant has shown us how great he is. T-Mac has shown us he's a good offensive player. But step up and lead a team to a few finals and along the way, win some titles. Only then wil you earn some respect.

If Yao ever going to leave Rox, he will take up an offer which is less than Rox offered. He would want to get his point cross: I want to play for a winning team. He won't let people criticize him go to another team for more money. It is just not Yao Ming. Some how I think may be there are some quality in JVG that most us haven't realize yet. Since so many old Knicks players are so loyal to him, he must did something right to those players. May be this is wishful thinking, but I sure hope it is true.
I don't hate Yao or T-mac. I just don;t think they are what people say they are. I am also against the Dawson, JVG era. That's all.
Kobe is good because he played with Shaq. He will not ever win a championship if the lakers did not have Shaq, period.
The difference between Kobe and T-Mac is that if T-Mac won three rings with Shaq, T-Mac would not kick out Shaqdaddy to make room for the likes of Chris Mihm.
By what you're saying, since Kobe hasn't matched Jordan's six rings, I guess Kobe's a Jordan knock-off. No, I'm saying T-Mac is equal to or better than Bryant, but calling McGrady a Kobe knock-off is taking it a little bit out there.
