Since favorite movie posts are popular at the moment, just thought I'd jump on the bandwagon with a different twist. Okay, everyone has that movie that they just love to watch even they know it's an absolute piece of s***. You cringe in pain at the bad/cheesey moments, but it makes you laugh and you love to watch it all the same. I have several that fit into this category: Grease 2 Clash of the Titans These are my two main. So what's yours? ------------------ "Have I not here the best cards in the game to win this easy match played for a crown?....." Bill Shakespeare
I have to watch Dirty Dancing each and every time it comes on TNT or TBS and that is a lot. ------------------
Braveheart...biggest bunch of crappy fiction on the face of the planet but....what a tale. Surf ------------------ [This message has been edited by Surfguy (edited August 23, 2000).]
outlaw, The Breakfast Club is a great movie. ------------------ "I'll drop kick those f*ckin' dogs if they come anywhere near me." visit www.swirve.com
Maybe so but still incredibly cheesy. Especially the saccharine ending. But it is John Hughes after all. I still watch it when it comes on TNT, which is an awful lot.
Hmmm, Spaceballs and Airplane. Love that stupid humor. ------------------ There is a very fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness."
Continental Divide (John Belushi) My Bodyguard Armed & Dangerous (John Candy) American Ninja (ugh! It's a loathesome, offensive movie. Yet, I can't look away.) Total Recall The Last Starfighter Scavenger Hunt I don't consider all of these bad movies (although a few on there are stinkers!), but they weren't well-liked, that's for sure. ------------------ Save Our Rockets and Comets SaveOurRockets.com
For cheesy over-acting and senseless violence, you just can't beat kung-fu theatre. ------------------ I need a new signature. 302
Ice Pirates Spencer for Hire plays a wanna space pirate in which water is scarce. They have droids that are as competent as C3PO, bgut fight. ------------------ "You've got 6 fouls, use them well" -Derrick Coleman
Mystery Men Purely cornball, cheesy, and a quick paycheck for the stars, but I liked it. It is one of those movies that the whole family can sit and watch together. How many PG-13 movies do you know of that the use of the word "testicle" is the strongest language in the movie? Jeanine Garafalo is hilarious. ------------------ Save our children from the TAAS test: TAAS test report card TAAS test fact sheet Dog lover here....cats beware.
Rumble in the Bronx was awesome...So cheesy that it's a classic...Plus, Jackie Chan does ALL his own stunts... Also, History of the World: Part One was my favorite Mel Brooks movie ever...I know that EVERYONE thinks that Blazing Saddles was his best work, but HOTW has so many funny moments.... Brooks: I am a stand up philosopher... Unemployment lady: Oh...You're a BULL**** ARTIST!! Did you bull**** this week?? Brooks: No... Unemployment lady: Did you TRY to bull**** this week?? Brooks: YES!! Plus, that scene where Moses gets held up and parts that lake was too funny... Also, and I know I'm going a little off topic, but am I the ONLY person that didn't see Titanic?? ------------------ If you don't eat your meat, you can't have any pudding!!
Gotta be Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure! Hey look! It's Sigmund Freud.. hey Freud dude!! Excellent! ------------------ My dream job is to be a Houston Rockets towel-boy.
Amen. But they fly and rip each other's intestines out! And how about those women that whip their 40 foot pony tails around and you find out they have razor-sharp spikes on the end of them. And I'll be damned if they aren't all looking to avenge the death of somebody... but first they have to travel to the mountains and practice some animal style of kung fu (mantis, tiger, cobra, drunken monkey, pissed koala, enraged hummingbird, etc.). Then when they come back, nobody knows who they are but DAMN can that boy fight... and when they start fighting you have to laugh at how the enemy engages him one at a time while the others bounce around in the back doing the "funky chicken". Oh man, do I miss those Saturday afternoons with Kung Fu Theatre and Action Theatre. *sigh* ------------------ Falk that Mo Fo!!!
A-Train: No, you aren't the only person who hasn't seen Titanic. I haven't seen it and hopefully I never will. my list: Bill & Ted (both) Nakes Gun movies Mel Brooks movies Don't Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood ------------------
