I need some ideas on which dish provider is least expensive since I'll need one to get the Rockets games... Any ideas?? Moving to New Mexico for a new job... Let's hope my next move doesn't get me closer to Salt Lake. ------------------ Proud Father of the Rockets' future point guard.
When I moved to Denver in 1996, I suffered through one season w/o the Rockets and decided something HAD to be done about that. You're doing the right thing getting on this right away. According to my research at the time, DIRECTV was the only provider that had the NBA League Pass. Fortunately, they're a pretty good provider all around and the prices are reasonable. Nowadays, thanks to all the competition, you can probably get the equipment for free (I paid about $200 at the time). The League Pass was really the biggest expense at about $140/year. ------------------
IROC it, Dish Network is cheaper, but they don't have the NBA League Pass... I know... I'm still crying about it. ARRRGGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!! ------------------ Just shut up and post
Direct TV also has the sports package, where you get all the Fox regional networks and ESPN channels for $10 a month. ------------------ Stay Cool...
Yeah, well, Dish Network has that, too and it costs me $4.99/month. So nya. But no NBA League Pass, have I mentioned that? ------------------ Just shut up and post
Here's one for free: http://stores.yahoo.com/mini-dish/dirsintvsys.html ------------------ In order to be a success in life, you need 2 things: 1. Don't tell everything you know.
So...where have you been, man? ------------------ Nederland 2002 Qualifying Campaign (Damn those penalties!!!) Houston Rockets Space Center- Not just another ClutchCity.NET clone. We're that and more!
Thanks guys for all the info... I guess I'll have to decide on whether or not the FSSW game coverage is enough for $4.99 on Dish Network or if I need the big League Pass. ------------------ Proud Father of the Rockets' future point guard.
Where in New Mexico are you moving? ------------------ "I'll drop kick those f*ckin' dogs if they come anywhere near me." visit www.swirve.com
NBA league pass is the only way to go. Otherwise, plan on missing a heck of a lot of games and/or listening to them on Internet radio. I would not buy a dish system just for FSSW...what a waste! Surf ------------------

Albuquerque... right next to the Sandia Mountains... The job involves some limited web designing, some t.v. editing type stuff, mostly office work otherwise... it's at a church that has a television station. I'll be working mainly in the Youth Ministry department/Christian Academy... ------------------ Proud Father of the Rockets' future point guard. My parents used to live right off Tramway. The absolute best restaurant in town is Frontier on Central right across from the university. I don't know how familiar you are with the area. If you want to e-mail me, my mom and dad can tell you anything and everything you need to know. ------------------ "I'll drop kick those f*ckin' dogs if they come anywhere near me." visit www.swirve.com
Thanks RM95... We took a trip there a couple weeks ago. Compared to Houston or Dallas though, it's fairly small. They actually think that 20 minutes drivetime to cross town is a long time... I'm thinking that's half my usual commute!! We'll be living like 5 minutes from work... We can't wait to get there! And low humidity (or lack thereof) is a BIG plus... the Fall through Spring high temp average is like 70 F... Ahh, yes.
