With Christmas season here and Christmas getting closer and closer by the minute I thought I'd start a thread on Christmas movies and shows. My list is below in no specific order:

    1. How the Grinch stole Christmas (Gotta buy this on DVD)
    2. A Christmas Story (How could you not like this, is TNT doing the 24 hours showing agin?)
    3. Scrooged
    4. Mickey's Christmas Carol
    5. A Charlie Brown Christmas

When I was kid, there used to be this show that came on all the time during Christmas season and maybe somebody on this board can help me remember what it is. First, it was a show with puppets or muppets. It was about this mother and son and the son was in a band and he needed some sort of part for his instrument in the band and his mother's wash pan is exactly what he needed. Either he takes the pan or it is given to him, I can't really remember. The title may have junkyard band in it too. That's really all I know. Anybody know the full title of this show?

    "It's a Wonderful Life"

Still gotta watch it every holiday season, even though I've seen it at least 40 times.

TIZOC (it will be on Univision)

OK, ok... for all you non-texans: Wizard of OZ. It's a WB ("we baad!") tradition.

    Emmet Otter's Jug-Band Christmas:

I always liked the Rankin-Bass stop motion stuff like Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, Rudolph's Shiny New Year, and my all-time favorite in the Year Without a Santa Claus (featuring the Miser Brothers aka Heat Miser and Snow Miser also known as Mr White Christmas and Mr Green Christmas!!!).

    Movie : A Christmas Story

TV Show: Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer -- all those poor misfits, Rudolph, the elf that wants to be dentist, the misfits toys, the abominable snowman, Yukan Cornelius -- all don't fit it.

    I still love the show

So if they came out with a CD of those songs, it is safe to say that you will quit listening to the radio and listen to that CD instead?:p :D

Funny you should mention that. I've always had a good memory with songs. Maybe that's why I've never had a huge CD collection. I get bored with repetitiveness very easily. I'd rather hear something new, or, at least, be surprised by what I'm about to hear. Such as yesterday getting to hear "I want a hippopotamus for Christmas" for the first time.

Had I been listening to a CD, I would have missed that musical treasure!

Thank you so much Manny, I intend to order from some place today bu I don't want to spend $40 on one DVD.

When I mentioned How the Grinch Stole Christmas I was referring to the original cartoon version, not that Jim Carey crap.
