OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) -- The Minnesota Timberwolves are aware most opponents won't give them nearly this much time to beat them.

Sam Cassell had 26 points, 11 rebounds and eight assists, and the Timberwolves rallied in the fourth quarter for their third straight victory, 107-99 over the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday night.

Dude almost had a triple double. Kidd's expertise. See Sam is better, he shoots better, he's won championships, and he can board and dish out assists.

Sam is unreal. When he's healthy, he can play with just about anyone. I was watching the 4th game of the '95 Finals the other day, and ET just jumped out at you as a difference maker. (of course, so did several others, especially compared to this team! ;) )

I know we'd all love to have him back. (sigh)

What I love about Sam is he's not some Vince Carter or Allen Iverson with godgiven hops or quickness.
    .
Sam Cassell is all skill and heart.

    Sam Cassell does it again:

Sam Cassell scored eight of his season-high 30 points in overtime and Kevin Garnett added 22 points and 15 rebounds, helping the Timberwolves beat Los Angeles 107-100 Saturday night for their fifth straight victory.

    Oh Sam had 10 assists.
    Sam=best PG in the League

this thread has 10 posts in it.

    6 are tinmans...and there's no discussion.

i love cassell, but really man, i love nash too, so should i keep a thread logging every stat he puts up? no i shouldn't, i mean, unless there's something to discuss, i don't really see the point (get the cliche? point...get it? like, point guard).

oh, and rocket3forlife2, thanks for the tip. i won't read things i don't care about...so you've earned yourself a spot on my ignore list.

Steve Nash is the best PG in the league.

And what does Cassell have to do with Jason Kidd? Kidd hasn't even played this season due to injury. Cassell started off slow this season himself.

It was meant as an expression, I'm sure. "Eat this Steve Nash!" doesn't have quite the same ring, does it? Some of us really miss ET, are thrilled he's on a good team that uses his skills, and are depressed that he's on the other team, instead of the Rockets, considering our point guard play.

Think of it as a Sam Cassell love fest, in C minor.

I hate Jason Kidd and how he was annoited best PG in the League. Sure he's good, but I would take Cassell any day of the week of his bad shooting self.

Nash vs Cassell is a good matchup. What happened when they played? To be continued in the playoffs.

A person who drops 30pts and 10assists should get a thread or noticed. What happens if anyone other than Cassell did that? The fact that people doubt Cassell after 2 championship, East Conference Finals, ANOTHER Western Conference final (hurt).. puts fuel to the fire. Cassell is hall of fame material and should be mentioned with Isiah Thomas etc.

Cassell was not the featued played on any of those squads. He came into the league and rode the coattails of Hakeem and others to a title in Houston.

Hall of Fame players are superstars who lead their teams, not second options who play off of the stars. He wasn't all that in Milwaukee, either, when there wasn't a clear-cut star. He hasn't done anything to suggest that he's HOF worthy; he's a very good player, but only a few players are HOF-worthy (and winning titles is not the only prerequisite, particularly considering he wasn't the primary reason any of his teams did).

He's not one of those HOF caliber players.

Coat tails of Hakeem? whatever dude. Hakeem didnt win ANY CHAMPIONSHIPs without his great teammates. This such proof that AFTER Cassell/Horry/Maxwell/Smith/Elie left Hakeem WON ZERO.

Hakeem is the greatest Rocket to have played but his supporting cast was a large part on why he has two rings. Did Hakeem win any rings with Buck Johnson? Rest my case.

Hall of Fame..Neither is Jason wife beating cant shoot no championship trade me Kidd.

Its ok for you to hate Sam, Sam has always endured haters through his career saying he cant do this or that. Hate all you want. Sam drops 30pts and 10assists. You better recognize!

Saying Sam Cassell is a Hall of Famer in basketball would be like saying Lonnie Smith is a Hall of Famer in baseball.....

If James Worthy and Pippen are in the hall of fame, then Sam has chance cause those dudes were role players.
