All boxing fans should tune into to ESPN2 now. Rocky Juarez, from Houston and one of the brightest prospects in boxing, will be taking a step up against Guty Espadas. If he wins, he's in line for a title shot.

Great punch, you can see Espadas' nose break and completely shift to the other side of his face. By far the best performance I've seen out of Juarez.

Yeah he is a real small guy. He is always partying in downtown and he's pretty laid back and cool. Used to party here at Live a lot back in the day.

i don't care how small he is..im sure he can take anyone out with his speed lol.

Anyone have the video or know if they are reshowing it?

I used to jog at Jeff Davis High back in the day and that little b*stard used run 3 times around the track to my 1. He is very fast and stays in shape. He is a very nice guy and people would honk at him and yell out "Rocky'. .... again he is a real quiet, yet nice guy (that likes to kick peoples arse in the ring). Congrats to him.

What up with Jeff Davis High? First they couldn't buy a win in football games and now they have produced some prettty darn good athletes Juarez, Carl Crawford, & Robert Holcombe (Ten Titans-fullback).

I played FOOTBALL with Robert Holcombe and was a senior when Carl Crawford was a Freshman. EDIT: RH went back to Arizona to play HS football, where he was born.

Rocky's brother, who was a pal during H.S., graduated with me... I used to play basketball with all his cousins who lived near Moody Park. Rocky even came a few semesters here to college.

Yes we lost 85 in a row... I remember RH on the sideline with me as he injured his shin one homecoming game, and he shed a few tears from not being able to finish out a game we were close to beating Reagan. I broke my ankle too, all during that streak.

SHUT UP, already... I heard enough about our streak! :D jk

(2 years ago) When I attended UH-Downtown... Rocky was in one of my classes and he was always late to class... or didnt show up at all. And he would always show up lookin' tired or sweaty lol.

I didnt know who he was at first... untill the professor told us who he was.

    Its a small world.
