Trading Harden to avoid paying the luxury tax is probably the cheapest non-Sarver/Sterling move over the last 30 years or so, though.

That's definitely not what happened. Come on now. I'm a HUGE Harden fan, but he's still the person holding the majority of the blame in us trading him. Like people were talking about him wearing a ****ing fat suit ffs. You can't pin that one on LTS, what a load of absolute, unadulterated BULLSHIT you just tried to sell. BULLSHIT. BULL ****ING ****!

 

I was talking about OKC trading Harden in response to the poster saying that Bennett/OKC have been model NBA owners since moving to OKC. That's largely been true since they saw what a big mistake that trade was but that trade was one of the worst owner being cheap moves in recent NBA history. But a lot of new owners screw up and course correct. Tilman has mostly been fine as an owner after making mistakes early on. Even Dolan finally figured out an approach that resulted in a championship. The one thing that can't course correct is losing your team, though, and it might happen to Portland.
