heading to Honolulu next week while thinking the weather forecast looks horrendous, cancelation will be expensive, Galveston is way more convenient, if you don't like it, you can just leave

I need to get me one of them fancy motorized eFoils

10 years later, looking at it mounted on the wall...yep, never did get a chance to ride it.

I've been saying for years that Galveston might be the ugliest beach in the country, but you won't find better saltwater fishing anywhere. It is an angler's dream.

My father took me to Surfside the few times we went to the beach growing up.

The first time I went to The Strand growing up I was about 12. I hadn't really traveled that much outside of Texas and I was like wow, this is real history down here

Edit: I first went to the Strand when my aunt came to visit, the one place I remember was a place that had old forms of currency from different regions mostly Southern

When I was a kid, my dad and I went to fishing pier a lot of times after we arrived at Boivar Peninsula through the ferry. It is few minute drive from the ferry. The fishing pier is on the right turn from Hwy 87. I think Hurricane Ike destroyed it in 2008. What was the name of that fishing pier?
