when it comes to these end of the bench signings I just look for one elite skill. Can the guy do something important at an elite level that can make him valuable when he’s on the court. This guy appears to be an elite rebounder. vs a guy like Tate who does nothing elite. To me this is a better signing for the end of the bench than Jae’Sean. Would rather have shooters or rim protectors, but apparently we are allergic to binging in guys with those skillsets.
fair point but I don’t think we can trust Adams to stay healthy, plus he’s gonna be restricted. And I’ve been hoping we trade Capela since the moment we signed him
Stone deserves a lot of blame for the way this team has been put together, but if D'antoni (or anybody that valued spacing) were the coach we wouldnt be bringing in so many tough grit n' grind guys that cant shoot.
You know what, we're good Lebron. We got Oscar Tshiebwe. Memes aside, I am surprised a guy this good is a 2 way. Lets compare him to Capela. Capela (per 36): 11 pts 13.4 rebs 54% TS 20% TRB Oscar (per 36): 17 pts, 14.4 rebs 63% TS 21% TRB So Capela IMO is your average backup C. Although only 31 and should still be in his prime, dude has fallen off from his glory days and looks fat and out of shape, he's like fat Thor. Oscar despite being just 6'8 clowns him on both scoring and rebounding, getting more rebs and scoring far more efficiently. Its funny that both Capela and Oscar just layup and dunk but Oscar scores 10% more, maybe thats because Capela is fat AF and cant even finish anymore. So IMO this is actually a move to render Capela obsolete. IF somebody gets injured and we need more help, we can actually trade Capela at the deadline for whatever it is we need without being gimped by not having a backup center. This is an improvement from last year, everyone screaming for Stone to do a trade but the reality is we couldnt move Capela cuz then nobody will backup Sengun. At least now Capela is an expendable trade chip Stone can use if needed.
IMO he is too good to be released cuz he actually saw PT in NBA games last year and put up decent production unlike most GLeague/end of roster guys. He is more legit than Isiah Crawford and JD Davison tbh.
