    Great hire. The only real assistant we have and more qualified than Udoka.

    He is a British version of Chip Kelly.

    This is obviously a step in the right direction, but he can only do so much. I wouldn't expect any miracles, but it certainly can't hurt to try!

    That’s what I’m hoping for. He doesn’t need to work miracles, but getting Jabari up to 40% and fulfilling his potential would be a big help.
    He completely destroyed Caruso’s shot.;)

    The Chron article covering this provides that Chip's "secret is building the confidence of everyone he works with". I think a lack of confidence in his shot is Amen's biggest problem. We see that he shoots FTs well, so he does have some touch. I think he's been mismanaged. The Rockets have given him infinite minutes and infinite touches while trying to make him into a shot creator, but he's not good enough for that role now if ever. He needs to move off the ball, take a step back, and rebuild his confidence.

    good point, he can’t coach the white players. Reed and Sengun will have a downfall year.

    Yeah I really am not trying to bemoan this hire but in terms of 'well no ****' moves that needed to be made, this is one of the most bare minimum ones.

    Excited for the hire but I think expecting a miracle for this season (namely Amen's shooting) is unreasonable.
