Please limit talk in this thread to this series. Other topics should be discussed in the appropriate threads. Play-by-play is not allowed. If you need that, there are other places to find it. Political discussions belong in the D&D forum not in here. All games are broadcast on Space City Network unless otherwise noted.

Astros will probably win the series 2-1 because that’s the worst thing that can happen for the overall odds of the Astros winning another WS anytime soon.

Faint silver-lining from O's series was holding Alonso to one RBI. He trails by 7 and ranks 3rd.

Astros staff was fully capable of allowing Pete FIVE.

Might not be a popular opinion but Altuve has a .830 OPS in the leadoff spot and is terrible with RISP. Either move him there and bump everyone down a spot or leave Yordan in 2 and move Pena to 3rd.

I’d personally move Altuve to leadoff and then have Wade batting 2nd. They need a way to lengthen the lineup and neither Altuve or Wade are run producers. Wade’s best skill is getting on base, which is useless when he’s batting with a bunch of scrubs behind him. Unlike Pena, Wade is also slow as **** so you’re not taking away SB opportunities from him like you are Pena with Yordan behind him.

Then, have Yordan, Pena, Paredes and Walker behind those two. I get generally you want your best hitters getting the most PAs, but given this offense is basically Yordan, I want as many chances to have runners on for him and the best chance to drive him in when they pitch around him.

What happens in baseball when your players get ejected and you are out of men on the bench ? Do you have to play a player down ? Or do you have to put in someone from the bullpen ?

If we can figure out a way to play without an outfielder and 2b we can get yordan more than 20% more at bats !

Ideally Altuve would be 9th serving as a 2nd table setter.

Don’t hate this option either. Regardless, there’s no world where he should be batting 4th.

You can tell Blanco hasn't been around the major league club all year because he's throwing strikes.

Obviously it’s just one inning, and he could struggle moving forward, but if you had to dream up the perfect first inning for blanco, that was it right there

Inning would be over if Altuve didn't waste a damn challenge. Diaz should've just challenged it.

If only Diaz challenged an obvious strike....inning would've been over 5 minutes ago..now you're down 2 runs and Blanco has 15+ pitches added
