Their defense starts with their forwards. It's really amazing to see. Argentina was having issues getting the ball past midfield. That's really the best way to defend Messi. Don't even let the ball get to his side of the field.
After watching the game, holy crap, the Argentinians are extremely dirty players, and sore losers too. I hadn't realized they were this bad, now I know why my son wanted them to lose so bad lol. Still, Spain dominated the game. The game should never have gone to overtime, but both disallowed goals were actually legit, Spain scored 3 times on Argentina, and still they were trying to be thugs. Incredible how classless they were. https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/leandro-paredes-sent-off-final-221935614.html
Idk halland was amazing but 7 goals 0 assists and complete no show last game Kylian Mbappe golden boot winner 10Goals 4Assists even Bellingham 7 goals 1assist I think halland was a monster and shocked people who haven’t watched him regularly and will be competing for golden boot and may win next WC
I'm going to miss it. This is such a dead zone for sports, it's been nice having the biggest tournament in the world on.
For the most part forgettable match, except for the free kick save to end regulation, but earned. Spain took their heart and put it into the ran over by a truck category. Best team won.
Agreed, I was bummed out watching the closing credits on the Telemundo broadcast. I really enjoyed this one.
Man you've been great in this thread. I haven't seen a German b!tch and moan so much since David Hasselhoff cancelled his 2020 European Tour.
Since the Egypt game I was hate watching Argentina throughout. So satisfying seeing them lose and be exposed as classless frauds. The whole world turned on them on a dime.
That's an odd statement considering our wholehearted desire for peace, love and understanding throughout history.
With Spain dominating international soccer on both the men's and women's side. I wonder if other countries will try to emulate this style in their youth development. My daughter played in a Spanish run club and trained at the FC barcelona academy in the US when she was played. Her team always played above their weight and only lost to teams that were a lot more athletic.
