I loke it but it would be too much of a departure from legacy of NBA players. For example it would prob lower the shooting averages of some NBA players by 30% or more if all their fts get cut in half. Maybe what they can do is just have 1 ft and have it count 2 or 3 pts.
That's what they are doing. If they really wanted to speed up the game and have scores through the roof they could keep the 2 free throws but have them worth 3 points each. No one would touch each other and there would be no free throws each game.
