I recommended it by word-of-mouth to my wife for an in-flight movie decision (between Denver and Houston). She baaaaaaaaarely had the time to watch it before we connected to the gate. But did see every minute. Funny enough, I haven't seen it yet. She loved it.
Don’t think the movie ran deep. When over, I didn’t think about any particular theme or message as much as I was trying to fill holes that were not explained clearly. Was sad for rocky when he almost died. He worked and a great plot point to introduce another group looking to solve the same problem. Liked the general plot and journey. And although I can see why they went for flashbacks, I would have preferred a linear journey with deeper character backstory and a deeper understanding of the stakes. So I’ll give it b-
The book really goes into deep character background, that lacked in the movie but I get it, you only have so long to tell the story on screen compared to a 500-page book
