I will readily admit to skewing towards pessimism, but I have a pretty good track record imo. The two things I've been atrociously wrong about were (1) Ty Lawson, and (2) pre-vegan CP3 being washed, but I think a lot of people are in that boat. I just don't see any of these guys moving the needle, except maybe Thornton who I don't know anything about. The only thing I see leading to success next season is improved shooting from Amen/Sengun.
In the end it's still the same damn things that needs to be improved since Stone took over the team. 1. PG play 2. Shooting Is there the possibility this team can shoot and get great PG play next season? Yes. Amen and Reed can both take huge steps. FVV may return to his 2024 self. We may see major improvements in the 3pt shooting of our youngsters. These are all possible. And if a lot of what I listed actually happen, and assuming KD still play at an all-star level, then this team does have a chance. But then I've been hoping for these improvements for years and have yet to see anything happen. So I'll believe it when I see it.
Again it depends what your expectations are. My expectation more than 52 wins and at least 2nd round in the playoffs. Thats already moving the needle from last season. The core guys are still in their early 20s getting into 2nd round for a fight vs SAS or OKC is a great result considering how good those teams are.
Stonetitta dialed up the sous-vide to 144 from their phones on vacation and have left the Rockets there all offseason. A nice quick sear when the season starts and we will be plated & ready. Enjoy fans.
There are too many possible personnel moves to predict at this time. Please wait until late summer or early Fall.
I mean technically yes….but we pretty much know that what you see now is the likely roster going into the season
Our GM believes mid-season trades are overrated and he doesn’t “change for change’s sake”. He hasn’t made any meaningful mid-season trade since he traded Harden. But when offseason arrives he still does nothing.
Are you still optimistic about GM moves by Stone? Now the local media narrative is hype up our 2nd round pick to make him seem like the savior of our franchise which is putting way too much pressure on a SECOND ROUND ROOKIE who will be lucky to have meaningful 2nd string bench rotation minutes.
We’re cooked for the next 5 seasons at least. I ran the numbers and it is mathematically impossible for any lineup featuring Jabari Smith Jr to beat an OKC or Spurs closing lineup in a 7 game series.
Frankly, I don't know what to think. This I know. Ime is not the right coach AND Durant is an expensive diversion. Also, we have no consistent shooter; that won't work. Start with a new experienced coach and do some shuffling. But, please trade off Durant.
LOL..... gotta hand it to the type of poster who doesn't mind dumping out their purse on the table.... lock in that loser pessimism early!
LMAO gotta love the bottom-feeders who troll forums calling their own fanbase "losers," bigtime pindick energy
