Cam dominated in NBA games for awhile.

    He's soft.
KM looks good as a second year player in SL, but sucks against NBA comp....or...UH for that matter.

I think he might be a "4A" player.

Rookie season was good, but Cam didn't improve any other areas of his game.
If Cam couldn't shoot the ball well, he didn't impact the game at all

IMO, if Cam didn't have a serious problem between his ears, he didn't really need to improve much.

He could have been a 3-point gun and dunker off the bench and made himself $40-50 million over the next few years. Instead, he drunk the same Kool-Aid as many of his fans and believed he could be a superstar. The fact is Cam was not a skilled player with a high ceiling. He was one/two trick pony who was destined to be a bench player, at best.

Oh, the things I was doing at 23 and 24, much less at 19. Talking about immature?? God saved me.

I always said, guys like KPJ and Cam are going to need time

I wish we could’ve traded up for him. Even made a whole thread about it lol. Mavs trading for him hurts. Steal of the draft by year 3 bet

Stone won't risk bringing in a player who can compete for Reed's role on the team.

    Sarcasm?

Stone literally traded up in the draft to get an undersized scorer. Granted, I think Stone thinks that Reed will end up a good player, that Thornton has a chance to be a player as well, and that Stone goes after talent in the draft with little regard to current players.

We all agree the Rockets need more outside shooting. Signing two over-the-hill old guys (Smart and Bogi) on the cheap and drafting a guy in the 2nd round is not a serious attempt to address that weakness.

We can all agree that this has nothing to do with Stone not risking bringing in a player who can compete for Reed's role on the team. I just don't see De Larrea as more of a threat to Reed's role than Thornton and Smart even if I think Reed's role will mostly be determined by Reed.

Don’t worry boys we trade up for a 3rd string / RVG undersize point guard couple spots ahead Thomas
