I'm wondering if this statement by his agent is bogus. I would think media would have been all over this reporting if he was showing up to teams and working out while out on bond. Unless they went to him and were quiet about it.

Meco et al can provide that. The culture of the Texans is second to none. He (TA) obviously has a lot going on and perhaps being a CB3 would be better for him while he plays that out in the background and sorts it out. He is no OJ. (Low bar)
I believe Nick and Meco were high on him during the draft process. Not surprised they're kicking the tires a bit plus he's a SEC guy.
If, and I can’t emphasize the IF any more, he checks out legally, he’s going to want to sign here. From purely a football field standpoint, Arnold signing here would give us essentially 3 CBs who could be your CB1, and we’d have one of the best defensive backfields in history. There’s that whole legal problem though, which looks like it may be awhile before it’s fully sorted out(unless charges are dropped). IMO he’s unsignable until that happens. I hope charges are dropped and the process sorts itself out for his sake.
I have read that even if a team signs him, he is likely to be serving suspension (maybe whole season) so not a viable option for 2026 season.
With his legal status and the state of the league, he’s not going to be given a starting position on a contender. He’s going to have to rebuild his value and reputation.
I think I’m mixing him up with someone else. Who was the CB that was a former 1st rounder CB that had some bad legal troubles. We brought him in, ppl like Mcclain were VERY against it, but he never really played for us? Think he got dropped mid-season.
