Hope he translates it to the next level. The competition was weak but he showed a high bball IQ and excellent care of the ball. I have concerns about his interior scoring ability against real bigs due to size but I’m rootn for him.
No! Shooting is the hardest skill to find in basketball. Reed shot 39% in his first season of getting real playing time. Thornton and Reed can both play on-ball and off-ball. It won't be till fall camp and preseason that we find out about Thornton's defense. His playing time, like Reed's, is going to depend on his defense. It looks like Reed has gained weight and facial hair. I don't know about the facial hair, but the weight should help his strength.
as the great Kevin McHale once observed, "It's not like they're logging tall timbers out there." amirite @J.R.
Agree….this site is incredible. Reed Sheppard is 1000 times better. JD Davison scored a ton in Summer League/G League….means zero. What a bunch of Stone patsies are on this site. I know this guy is not NBA quality because Stone/Wallace picked him….enough said. He’s too short and slow to play NBA defense. His shot will be blocked at the next level. Quit thinking every short guy who is stocky is Jalen Brunson. I was the only one who said Silas was a disaster when Stone picked him. I will make you all happy and permanently quit posting the day this guy even resembles Brunson statistically and carries the Rockets. Stone loves that you all continue to support his awful moves and keep buying his sales pitch. Amazing how he just pegged the next Jalen Brunson….what a basketball genius/phenom we have with this lawyer. Keep drinking the kool-aid everyone and supporting the huge moves of old guys Smart, Bogdonovich and new future Brunson superstar Thorton. How can we possibly not win it all this year?
Lets boost up that value first. I wonder if a team would be desperate to trade for him OR sign him to a lucrative deal
